  • Very compact and efficient luv this thing. Helps for hard to reach places and can use it anywhere.
Love it use it all the time. Light handy efficient. Recommend getting plunge base as well. Nice handy little tool. Pretty descent in batteries. Small batteries might deplete quickly . Have a few big batteries for large projects even small batteries in for small projects. Really do like this only thing that personaly bugs me is the power switch is a pain to in and off but it's for safety I'm sure so idiots don't hurt themselves I understand but I hate all this bubble safety crap usually I take it off my tools guards locks all that crap lol. But the world we live in I understand DeWalt 🤣💩. Tool is very nice ... show more

  • Worth every penny.
Just got it last week. It has way more power than I expected. It is a phenomenal tool and addition to my shop. I gave it five stars because it is easy to change bits, adjust height, and powerful. If I had to complain about something, the base plate that comes with it can't handle a collar for a template... but I knew that when I bought it. Despite some of the comments, the LED lights work well. I think the only other thing I would add if DeWalt is listening is a dush shield on the open face side. Just something to deflect dust away from the user. Awesome tool. ... show more

  • High quality, plenty of power, replaced another brand with this.
I bought a competitors version of this a few years back with a cord, I thought I only use it occasionally a cord is no big deal but after using it I realize that especially because this is for smaller projects the cord does get in the way. I’ve been migrating over to the Dewalt ecosystem and had a few batteries and chargers, so I thought I would give this a try and it’s not only more convenient because it’s cordless but It’s better quality than the orange cold one with the cord that I have. Plenty of torque and power, sometimes not the case with cordless tools, but this one is a winner for what it is designed to do. ... show more

  • You Need This Tool
DeWalt quality can never be beat. This tool works excellently like it's designed to work. It's not too heavy and easy to control with speed controls and the perfect soft start. Design is done well- its easy to grip and maneuver flawlessly. Highly recommend, found it here cheaper than Home Depot.

  • A great palm router!
This is exactly what I needed. Having no cord helps tremendously. Easy to handle and is working great so far.

  • Well Made, Performs Well
This is a nice compact router. It works well. I bought this to be used on a slab sled as a cord can get in the way. My only issue is that it eats up battery power fairly quickly. Glad I have two extra batteries so I can keep going.

  • Nice little router
Powerful little guy! It has had no troubles chewing into plywood or walnut with 3/4th mortise bit. Well designed tool with respect to depth adjustments and visualization of work area. The router fits the hand well and should be hard to hurt yourself if it's being used appropriately and with care. The router loves eating down batteries though. If the LEDs are flashing it wants a new battery. Keeping the speed between 2-3 will help quite a bit, and is typically the right speed anyway. The short battery life is not overly surprising given it's job. Probably need a corded item if you have lots of routing to do. I doubt it can be avoided in any palm routers but if the battery isn't removed when changing the bit the router will eventually harm you. The power switch isn't overly guarded. The collet lock button should keep your paw away from the switch but If you're absent minded about such things you should probably stay away from the tool class. Routers don't amputate but instead maul flesh. Overall easy tool to recommend for quantity (not power) limited routing tasks for safety minded folks. ... show more

  • Better than Milwaukee
I was in process of switching my entire system to Milwaukee, and the first tool I bought was their trim router (2723). Wow was it bad. I'm kind of shocked that there are so many glowing reviews of that Milwaukee, and talk of equivalence with this Dewalt. The Milwaukee has a crap depth adjustment that needs to be periodically tightened with a hex key to hold its depth, and it requires two wrenches to set the collet. Even with my fastidiousness, I lost depth after a few uses and even managed to throw a bit (admittedly, a combination of user error and the fiddly way that the collet needs to be set). In contrast, the Dewalt does not have those issues. It has the best depth adjustment I experienced on any router, and setting the collet requires depressing a button to lock and using one wrench. As someone that was on the verge of becoming a Milwaukee fan boy, I have to say this is not even close. Get the Dewalt. ... show more
