  • This thing is awesome
Style: Bare Tool Only
Been using it for a while now. Auto technician. Having the gone from older model to this one is a big difference. This one has sealed head which I like since I’m working on cars. The interchangeable head is also a nice touch. I haven’t used that feature that much but the 1 or 2 times I did need it made my life alot easier. The biggest improvement over the original is the sensor has gotten alot better at knowing when the head is at max tq and stopping. On the old one if you didn’t stop before the bolt you were screwing in bottomed out the ratchet would just keep going and your hand would go along with it. Lots of banged up knuckles till I finally learned how to control the trigger a bit better. This new one kills the power when it the head bottoms out. Now one annoying thing about this feture is rusted up threads and bolts can give it some issues where it gives a false sense of bottoming out when actually its just stuck on rust. But I’ve not run into this issues too much and the few times I have I just use my impact gun. Overall this is worth the purchase whether you own the older one already or if your new to electric ratchets. The only reason to buy the Milwaukee version is if your already into the batteries. ... show more

  • Waited way too long to buy this. So nice to have and not be attached to air hose.
Style: Bare Tool Only
I don't know why I didn't buy this sooner but it would have saved me a lot of hassle. Well I do know why... The price... But I gota say it's worth it for sure. Being able to zip out bolts without lugging around an air hose and getting caught on everything is so nice. It's plenty powerful enough to use for what a electric rachet should be used for. It's not an impact so don't expect to be breaking big old rusty 30mm nuts loose with the motor alone. Its made to zip on or off nuts and bolts once they are broken loose. Unless you are in a shop setting and working on vehicles all day long, then this is the way to go. If you do work in a shop all day then it makes more sense to stick with air just because of the whole battery thing but for the average weekend warrior or a mobile mechanic or addition to air tools this thing is amazing to have around. ... show more

  • Why did I wait so long?
Style: Bare Tool Only
Excellent tool. It's a bit larger than I wanted but it has both 3/8 and 1/2" drives in one tool so that is a BIG plus. Variable speed and plenty of torque for my needs. Beats the heck out of turning a manual ratchet 500 times.

  • Game changer
Style: Bare Tool Only
This thing is awesome, the one thing that's stupid is there is no where to put the drive your not using on the tool for storage. That's a major engineering flaw. It busts bolts free with ease. I have it paired with a 1.7Mah Powerstack battery. It's not too heavy, has plenty of power and it is a little big. For under the dash or in the engine bay I'd recommend the atomic series! Also one thing I dislike about it and this probably applies for all cordless ratchets but this is my first one, is that I don't feel comfortable using it as a manual ratchet once a fastener is tight. With my pneumatic ratchets you can put serious manual force behind them without feeling like you're going to break them, with this I attempted to but quickly stopped as I could feel the ratchet begin to flex. ... show more

  • great tool
Style: Bare Tool Only
Very good tool.very good if you can get it into the space....a lot bulkier than a ⅜ drive torque wrench as an example of its size but it saves you from turning a wrench if you can get that socket onto the nut or bolt

  • Extremely Helpful - With the Right Battery
Style: Bare Tool Only
I used this DeWalt ratchet for a day of automotive work. It was mostly used for loosening and tightening body and chassis fasteners (Torx 40) and smaller and lower-torque levels < 35 Nm. The tool is very precise and handy. Its format is relatively light and can access small spaces easily. Swapping sockets was smooth and changing direction was easy. The battery allowed about 3 hours of use. I was not using this tool alone and was a bit surprised it could not last the day. I had a spare that was also quickly dry.... I will buy a new DeWalt 20V Li battery and re-test. Bottom line: Tool is excellent and battery need to match up. ... show more

  • Luxury tool for luxury users
Style: Bare Tool Only
Product is extremely easy to use, great value, and immediate shipping. If you understand its purpose in quickly buzzing out bolts you've already just barely loosened with a hand tools, it can both save a lot of time from not having to do it manually, and also helps save some repetitive motions if you have carpel tunnel or another physical disability. ... show more

  • Super tool!
Style: Bare Tool Only
I watch a mechanic from Florida use his in almost every video, albeit his is a Milwaukee...it's the same concept. Just a different brand. I picked up this one about a month ago and used it on several things including my daughter's car. Made super quick work of removing the wheel, you can use it to put the wheels back on - just be sure to use an actual measuring torque wrench to set the nuts at the specified factory range. Be careful, as anything less than 1/4" bolts you will snap them off with this wrench. I really like the quick change from 3/8 to 1/2" head size swap, easy to remove and set the other back in place. The selling point for me was that you can use it still as a manual ratchet, there are times you will need it to break free the set nut/bolt and get it started before you can use the powered feature. You can control the speed of the powered spin by how much you pull in the trigger, and a nice loud audible click lets you know that the pin is making firm contact with the ratchet spindle. Purchased the PowerStack 20v battery to go with it as it's a slightly lower profile and rubberized case in case I drop it, it seems to hold up just fine to the power required for torquing things down. I'm not disappointed at all with this tool, wishing I had it years ago. ... show more
