I originally had a harbor freight $25 tool kit. But one day while I was working on my car suspension, I broke one of the tools that came with the set. I had my car jacked up and disassembled and was unable to go to the store so I decided to buy this kit from Amazon. It came the next day. The tools are heavy and sturdy. They’re small enough to easily use maneuver in tight spaces, and it has enough power and torque to handle most of your car needs. The brightness of the light is good enough, I’ve changed my oil at night many times, and have found it sufficient. This versatile tool set is enough for 90% of repairs and maintenance jobs for your car.

Good quality and worth the cost. However it did not come with screw bits, I had to buy them separate, not even one screw bit! I needed a screw gun after my Craftsman burnt out, wish I had a Dewalt from the start! Otherwise a Good package deal.

I decided to upgrade the drill and impact driver from my 19V Craftsman set (quite old) to this model, and wow, am I impressed by the difference! The smaller batteries by DeWalt feel to deliver twice the power as the larger Craftsman batteries. The build quality and comfortable size of the yellow tools is immediately apparent. I put 5 stars for longevity anticipating that they will last, so please don't let me down. They also have a electric breaking feature that stops the rotation when you let up on the trigger that is much more apparent than in the old drill and driver I have. The set comes with (2) 1.5Wh batteries, which are really quite sufficient for most home projects, and they recharge in 30 minutes. I'll let you construction professionals pay for the 3, 4, and 5 Wh sizes!

I got these because I do a lot of utility work in technical theater...everything from repairing props to large set pieces, set construction and repair, and stage lighting maintenance...and I got tired of waiting for the screw gun and drill that we already owned to be available (and then hoping there was still enough life left in the battery to do it). In the year or so that I've had these, the one time they let me down was removing bolts that ended up requiring penetrating oil, a top-end wrench, and a 30" breaker bar to get loose (and even then, it took a guy who has another 30lbs of body weight to put enough torque on them to get them loose). Well worth the money and my only regret is that I didn't buy them sooner.

Dewalt is a clear winner and very reliable and the battery life is great. The drill is on the weaker side but non the less have used and it works for lower end homeowner projects. The price for what you get is very good compared to purchasing the same item at one of the big home improvement stores. The impact driver is very light and works great which is why I bought this kit... would highly recommend.
