Counterfeit DeWalt batteries are a major problem. If the price from a third-party seller that isn’t on DeWalt’s list of approved vendors seems too good to be true, it’s counterfeit—count on it. Amazon itself is an approved DeWalt vendor, and this is a decent price on a battery and charger that show every indication of being genuine. I’d rather buy genuine DeWalt or a battery and charger that honestly say they’re DeWalt compatible without pretending to be DeWalt than buy a DeWalt counterfeit and hope it holds up and doesn’t do damage. ... show more

Have not used it much yet. Charged it up once, all went fine. I bought this larger battery because my new 3-inch circ saw does not work with the 1.3 AH battery. Spins for 2 seconds then stops. This battery did the trick.
