This is honestly the nicest vacuum I've ever used. I woodwork in a room that also doubles as the home office and purchased this to get the sawdust and chips under control, and it's fantastic for that purpose with plenty of power that makes cleaning up a breeze. It is *shockingly* quiet. Substantially quieter than a typical average household vacuum and even noticeably quieter than the handheld dustbuster we have. It has immediately become our go-to household vacuum in addition to its intended workshop use... it's both much more powerful and way quieter.

I run a full time woodworking shop in my garage. Having tools that are quiet is a huge bonus. This vacuum is so quiet I forget it’s on. No sacrifice in power in fact it’s working better than my bigger shop vac with a higher hp. Highly recommend. I guess the only sacrifice would be no blower attachment. Keep that in mind.

This vacuum has excellent sucking power and the noise reduction over over shop vacs has become a necessity, and makes it clear just how dangerously noisy other shop vacs are. The large on/off button is nice but sometimes gets turned on by the shop vacs own hose since there is no good storage for the hose and implements. the provided bag for storage always get detached and is too flimsy to work well. This is flaw one of this vacuum, the lack of adequate storage for the hose and hose attachments, and the other, which really drags this down this from a perfect rating is that the wheels get stuck on its own power cord--a major flaw that you can't even wheel this around without its wheels always getting stuck on its own power cord. This is a major use issue and very poor design choice, even as the cord is well managed, the wheels should be able to roll over its power cord but instead they always get stopped and drag the cord and wheels together.

The vacuum comes with a 2 piece wand, a floor attachment with a brush, another attachment that was designed for smaller or perhaps wet pickup, and detailed instructions. It also uses bags, optionally, the filter can be washed and cleaned, and there is a net bag to tie all the small stuff together so you can lose it all at once. I tried tying the bag to the handle but it drags the floor. Moving air makes noise. The intake makes noise and the exhaust makes noise and in a turbulent system, the more air you move, the more noise you make. That is just physics. The type of attachments and hoses you get with a shop vac mean turbulence. But this is a quiet shopvac and physics requires tradeoffs to make it quieter. So, first thing I notice is, no exhaust. Most shopvacs have a place to attach the hose to the exhaust. This one does not have any such attachment, exhaust air runs through some baffles to reduce sound. I suspect that the typical exhaust port is a direct channel from the motor to the ear of the user and by baffling that escape they can reduce the sound. Second is it does not such as hard. I have owned shopvacs before and they had much more suction power than this unit. I am sure it could vacuum a wet carpet and help to dry it. I am not sure that you could use the vacuum as an impromptu sump pump. The day after I got this vacuum, I was cutting a cardboard template in the laser cutter. I got the settings wrong and the cardboard caught fire. I don't cut anything flammable in my laser unless I am there watching it, so I grabbed the cardboard, and pulled it out but it seems it burned underneath for a while. Ashes everywhere. So I got to use the shopvac. It made short work of the ashes and some car litter. Now I saw someone make a diverted for his shopvac so he could vacuum up marbles. I don't think this vacuum could do that. But for normal messes it is fine and, well, for us, quiet is more important.
