  • A nice flatpack printer cart.
Okay first it showed up in a soggy box. Wet from rain and apparently drug through a puddle on its side, I imagined it was doomed. Upon opening the box Inwas pleased to see the entire thing is surrounded by EPS foam. It protected the particle board aka glued up sawdust from absorbing moisture. I layed everything out and compared to instructions/parts list. Do this BEFORE getting into assembly with anything. All parts present plus a couple of spare bits of hardware. Use a screw driver! Not your lithium brushless nut driver set to "lugnut"... So many people complain of stripped screws and these just take a bit of snugging up, if you hear wood cracking, shredding paper or crunching, it is too tight ;) I assembled using wood glue, a couple of drops in every peg hole, and in the screw in post holes. Having a little squish out as you push parts together is ideal and will give the joints rigidity. Wipe off excess glue from corners on the visible "faces" of the furniture using a slighty damp paper towel. People mentioned having all kinds of problems putting these together... like drawer bottoms being too short, or trying to put them in AFTER putting the front and back of the drawer together. You have to put the face, and two sides on, then slot the drawer bottom in, making sure it is longways, (it is literally 1/8" longer in one direction and it matters) then put on the back to trap it in place. Drawer holes line up fine if you have your piece right side up. Some people mention having to redrill drawer holes... Every piece in this kit is directional except for the pegs. The top and bottom look identical on one side, but one piece has extra holes on the outside, where wheels mount... Bottom drawer sticking? I found I had to give all of the track screws another quarter turn or so on those bottom rails. It is important to make sure the rail is flush against the wood otherwise the wheels on the drawer will hit the screws like speed bumps. Why bottom only? Probably because this is the only drawer rails you put in while the thing is assembled making it harder to get screws in straight and as tight. It is together, sturdy, sitting under a rather beefy 65lb laser printer. If I had to moan about anything, it would be the wheels. They do not inspire confidence at all. Light, thin plastic wheels mounted by a metal plate about as thick and strong as the lid of a soup can. These will not survive rolling over a threshold. But once in place do allow for some movement of the stand to deal with paper jams and whatnot. I feel the overall quality was worth the price. Better than a lot of the Ikea stuff I've had in the past. But don't expect heirloom quality furniture here ;) ... show more

  • Perfect storage solution
This cabinet is exactly what I needed—sturdy, spacious, and stylish. The 5 drawers glide smoothly, and the chest door is great for larger items. Assembly was straightforward, and it looks great in my room. Worth the money and highly recommend!

  • Nice cabinet. Assembly was a bit rough.
I like this cabinet. It's sturdy (for what it is) and works really well for what I need it for (organizing office supplies). I wouldn't suggest using in as a step stool or anything like that, but I am considering buying a second one (not for a step stool). My only complaint is that assembly is a bit rough. So, a few tips/observations: DO NOT use the included screwdriver. I did for the first 1/3 of the job and now have 2 torn blisters on my hand. I was listening to a live stream and didn't want to walk away to get my cordless screwdriver. Poor life choice. Note to self: use your wireless headphone, nitwit! But DO NOT use your screwdriver on high speed and be as "gentle" with the screws as you can be (not always possible with this). The bottom inserts for the drawers go ONE way. They look like they could go either way, but if backwards, the holes will not line up with the rails correctly(-ish... they don't REALLY line up, tbh). But they're bendy, so you can pop them out and get them back in without disassembling if you notice while you're trying to line up the rails properly. Not that I would have any experience with this. I /definitely/ didn't get 3 out of 5 wrong. Yeah. For sure didn't do that. Nope. There are retainer clips to keep the backing boards in nice and stable. I like these, they're a nice touch. Maybe my favorite for this build (I'm easily amused). What I am not enamored with is the instruction step that shows their installation. It took me forever to figure out where they went, what they were for, and how they were oriented and installed. Once I did, it was obvious. Many of the screws are difficult to drive in straight, in part due to holes not quite lining up. This was particularly problematic with the rails attached to the inside of the cabinet. If the screws are not flush, they will cause the drawers to catch and not slide smoothly. I had to go back and correct three. I still have one that has a barely perceptible bump in the slide, but I can't be bothered to fix it. I'll use that drawer for things no one uses anymore. Like stamps and envelopes. Mail? Do we have that anymore? I also hate casters. But that's a rant for another time. There were multiple extras of every piece of hardware except the "big" pieces (like rails and hinges). I didn't need any extra, but it's nice to know if I spilled all the little screws, I'd be able to find enough of them in my pile carpeting to finish the build and could find the rest walking barefoot in my office over the next year or so. My tetanus shot is up to date. I think. ... show more

  • Good, solid, nice-looking cabinet and drawers
This is the perfect cabinet for my needs, and once put together, it's solid, the drawers and cabinet door work very well, and it looks good beside my work desk. Assembly takes time and patience and attention to detail, but if you follow the instructions, you have a good piece of furniture that will help you organize and store your things. ... show more

  • Sturdy 5 drawer storage unit for home office space
This ficd drawer storage cabinet is perfect for my home office. I needed something small with drawers to help unclutter my space a bit, and this worked great! My 10 year old son and I built it together and had it done in about an hour. (This is not our first furniture build). The instructions were good and easy to follow. The drawers slide very smoothly and hold everything I need quite well. It's not very tall (24") so be aware of that. I knew that going in, and did the space it's in, it works great. A tip on installing the door hinges: attach them to the door first, then the unit on its side, rather than up and down. That will let you lay the door on its "front" which let's the hinges sit in the opening on the side of the unit, which makes screwing them in a whole lot easier. Also, on the pieces that are the bottom of the drawers, be careful to watch how you slide those in. There is a specific way to put them in and if you put it in upside down, you will have to disassemble the drawer a bit to fix it. After we figured that out, it was fine. All in all, it's sturdy, first well in my space, and was easy to assemble. ... show more
