  • These are great and the ride has improved greatly on my explorer
Long over due. both springs were snapped on both rear struts. These are great and the ride has improved greatly on my explorer. They are of good quality, great fit and inexpensive. If you are doing one, do both sides so you get an even and save ride. Had a guy do just one and wondered why his car was leaning to the other side. daaaaaaaaaaaa ... show more

  • Perfect fit!
Like any quick strut, they were very easy to install. I previously bought the Monroe version (at twice the price) and figured I would give these a try since my 2005 Explorer has >325K miles. I was surprised at the quality!

  • working fine..
working fine... great price... mechanic said they quality was fine... not cheap at all... gave me a good fair price for installation and wheel balancing after... I'm very happy.. saved as much as $400.00 in total over some estimates if I had just walked in to an auto repair and left the entire job to them... ... show more

  • DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!
After 5 months the top nut that holds the assembly together came off leaving the whole assembly bouncing around in my wheelwell. After calling Detroit Axle and explaining this is a manufacturer issue that the nut came off they told there is only a 90 day warranty on suspension an there's nothing they could do but sell me another assembly at a discounted rate of $68. Not a discount when I obviously bought the set for $120. I was left to remove the part, buy a new 12mm fine thread nut, a bushing that was missing from it coming apart and renting a spring compression kit to reassemble the spring and strut. I suggest you buy this assembly elsewhere unless you want to risk it coming apart while your driving. Aside from if you don't have the capability to fix it after you'll be buying a new assembly and then paying a mechanic to install it AGAIN. ... show more
