  • Very poor quality. Lasted a year, 20k miles.
Quality isn't great, defective after a year, 20k miles. Comparable to economy grade at your local discount parts store. Thought it to be a good deal because of cost and a 10 year warranty. However, you have to pay "shipping" for your warranty, which happens to be the cost of getting new struts, So no warranty. Wouldn't waste time or money on this product, better to buy at local auto parts store and get your lifetime warranty. ... show more

  • Read first before buying, detailed issues
So the products seemed decent when I first got it at the end of February. Installed all 4 of them mid March. Everything seemed fine. But after only about a week of driving I started hearing a noise. Wasn't the struts but while inspecting my new struts for any defects due to the low price I discovered both front strut boots were not doing their job and that the passenger side unit was leaking it's fluids everywhere. Additional with the date code sticker from the product missing on one of them I am not sure how well they will be able to be warrantied down the road. Calling customer service. First time I was on hold for 20 minutes. No one even answered my call. Not too big of a deal just had to do something else. Called today (next day) and first they couldn't find my order. They do not pay for shipping for replacements. Would have been nice to know that. I will even return the failed ones, no issue. I get told that shipping for two front units will be 70 dollars! WTF? That's 1/4 of the price I paid for them. Okay okay maybe I will just get the one that is actually leaking taken care of 45 dollars. I try to find out why shipping cost so much and he tells me that the units each weight 65 pounds. This listing is on for that much to begin with. After I have to take him to his Detroit Axle website that he's wrong, he claims there is a minimum 45 dollar UPS shipping charge. WTF again? This is after being on the phone for 35 minutes with him hen pecking through their system. I ship with UPS and FedEx everyday as part of my job. There is no such thing, especially at the business level. They just don't want to make a quality product and them try to make money off of the warranty. I would suggest going to better company that is ran by non crocked people. ... show more
