This is a super sturdy mic stand. The bottom is very weighted, which I absolutely love because you need that when using something like the Shure SM7B or SM7DB since those are some of the heavier microphones out there. This stand handles the weight with no problem and stays planted without wobbling or feeling unstable. The all metal build gives it a very durable, high quality feel and definitely doesn’t feel cheap. Setup was also incredibly simple. I had this assembled and ready to use in literally two minutes or less. I really like that it comes with extension rods so you can adjust the height and position to fit your setup. It made it easy to get the microphone exactly where I wanted it for comfortable recording. I personally use a wireless XLR transmitter on my mic with this stand, so the setup looks super clean without cords hanging everywhere. It keeps everything looking neat and professional on my desk. Overall this is a great value for the money. Easy to assemble, durable, stable, portable enough to move around when needed, and built well for heavier microphones. Definitely impressed with the quality.

This is a great little desktop stand for my workstation. I am using it with a different mic than the Shure SM7B or SM7db, but it is still a big win for me. The lower stand height is great for getting the mic at the correct height without a lot of extra height that might show up on camera for meetings and such. It looks super nice, and the materials are well made. The mic is stable when using this stand, without a lot of shifting around or much play in how it sits. Overall, this has been a great addition to my workstation and it's smaller base profile saves me some much needed desktop real-estate.

This is a simple but nice design. Looks fairly sharp and does have a generous weight on the bottom. My Unidyne is a much older Shure model than this was meant for, and wasn't a perfect fit for this due to its deeper mounting socket. With a taller thread adapter it would work though; or meanwhile I found I could make it work by flipping the post and using the "mic" piece to attach the post to the base.
