I bought this statue for my husband for Father's day. He always said he wanted one. It did not disappoint. Good quality and very cute. Does come covered in a powdery substance and very strong smell out of the box though so if you are asthmatic just be aware. After hosing it down and setting it up, it didn't take long for the smell to go away. If you are buying the statue alone you will need to anchor it to something or it will fall over. We anchored it to piece of a 2x8 and slide the board up under the edge of our pond and covered with mulch it's been holding up well for several weeks now. Like this little guy real well. Bought him for my goldfish pond and to irritate my wife. But to my surprise she likes it. A little more detail than I thought he would be! Very easy to set up didn't take 10 minutes. Looks very nice. He is very lightweight so you have to make sure he is secured. If you have him in a goldfish Pond as I do and he falls over it can drain your pond, (he is on the edge of my pond on the bank) I buried his base which I did not want it to show because I wanted a more natural look.👍 we call him Louis because he reminds us of our great nephew. He's not modest in the lease! Of course at that age you don't have to be. Would buy again very please! And no I do not think he looks like plastic or looks cheap has a very nice appearance ... show more

Ohhh I love this cute little boy statue. It is perfect for our front yard garden. I paint the little boy's hair, eyebrows and put the light brown dot on his eyes to show he looks like my son, lol. Lots of good compliments from our neighbors.

The only thing I am concerned about and would change it to either make the base wider or heavier. Maybe add some tabs to the bottom to better secure it. It does have a tendency to fall over (I have dogs who love to swim in the pond so it may just be me).

My husband had always wanted one of these and I finally surprised him! He built me a waterfall and said he was going to get one. I told him no way, it would ruin the space (knowing I would get him one). He totally completes the space and everyone loves it and gets such a kick out of it! My husband hooked it up, not sure if he put something inside to make it a little heavier, it is lightweight, so we don't want him to fall and break. He got a pump from Lowes so that the water shoots far enough (he knows much more about this type of stuff than me lol) So happy I could finally get my hard working husbamd the little peeing guy he had always wanted, but we never had anywhere to put him. I already had a pool with a spitter, but when I saw this take off of the peeing boy of Brussels, I had to have it. I did not buy the optional shell bowl base, So I had to figure out my own installation. Didn't take long. Since he is a Design Toscano piece he is a bit pricey, therefore the 4 stars, but they have nice stuff and he looks great. He is anatomically correct, and makes a delightful sound tinkling into the pool. I have had only one guest since I placed it, but they liked it. It will be interesting to see the reaction of others who see him for the first time. I love him though. ... show more

    • Cute addition to my pool
This was a whimsical addition to my pool area. I did not buy the basin but chose instead to pull water out of the hot tub and used an external pump (not submersible) for the water supply. Mounted the boy on a cement planter, turned upside for a pedestal. It took a bit of plumbing but got it working. Makes a nice conversation piece. ... show more
