Under Carpet Lite™ was designed to deal with both at once.It's a ½" thick multi-layer composite built from polyester and fiberglass — flexible enough to conform to complex surfaces, light enough not to add meaningful weight, and effective enough to work as both a thermal barrier and a sound decoupler. At approximately 0.23 lbs per square foot across a 70" x 24" sheet (11.6 sq. ft.), you get targeted coverage for smaller areas, door panels, kick panels, and hard-to-reach spots without cutting down a larger sheet.On the thermal side, UC Lite reduces heat transfer from hot underbody surfaces in summer and blocks cold air intrusion in winter — keeping interior temperatures more consistent and comfortable year round. On the acoustic side, the multi-layer construction decouples road noise, rattles, and squeaks before they reach the cabin, adding a noticeably quieter, more refined feel to the driving experience.Installation is straightforward. Cut to shape, then fasten mechanically or bond in place with DEI Hi-Temp Spray Adhesive, which holds on both vertical and overhead surfaces.
