i almost never write reviews, but this product deserves it! my husband and i were looking forward to attending a big, very lavish wedding for months. i found the perfect outfits and accessories for all the associated events, decided on hairstyles, got my nails done - everything was ready...except for my skin. my skin tends to be clear and well-behaved, but - and this seems to ALWAYS happen - the week before the wedding, a NASTY hormonal breakout struck. when i say "nasty"...i mean it. in hindsight, i wish i had taken pictures to show how well this product worked...but tbh, i a) assumed it wouldn't and b) did not want to document myself in such a state. this breakout had it all - spread over my chin, cheeks, and forehead, extreme redness, scabs, swelling, it was truly over-the-top and quite possibly the worst breakout i've had in adulthood. unpleasant at any time point, but especially unfortunately for it to occur RIGHT before this big event. in desperation, i ran to amazon two days before our flight, scanned some reviews, and bought this product...coasting on a wing and a prayer that it would be a decent color match and provide at least acceptable coverage of the redness, if nothing else. before the welcome dinner for us wedding guests, i started getting ready, pulled this little tube out, took a deep breath, and started applying. o...m...g! NEVER in my life have i had a concealer work like this. it made my breakout essentially disappear - i still had a small amount of texture in a couple spots, but otherwise, the war taking place on the surface of my skin was undetectable. i was able to attend the event with confidence. i believe the best testimony is this: my husband is a very sweet man, who claims he "can't even tell" when i am/am not wearing makeup...we all know it isn't true, but it's nice of him to say it. when i washed my face after the welcome dinner, he could not help himself and exclaimed, in total shock, "HOLY CRAP, whatever you used REALLY works, HOW did you cover all that???" ...which was, you know, mildly hurtful 💀 but it also bolstered my confidence in the fact that this concealer was concealing with the best of them. not only that...but it lasts! i used it each day of the wedding weekend - some of which were 12+ hr days of being out and about in the elements - and it looked the same as when i first applied it. truly impressive. of course, by the time the weekend was over, my skin was totally clear and you'd never know i'd been SEVERELY broken out a mere 2-3 days before...but this stuff did the job when i really, really needed it to come through. i am definitely going to be exploring other products from this brand...i tend to cheap out when it comes to makeup, but my experience with this product has me changing my tune on that. if you are like me and desperate for something that will work...i can attest that this is it.

Dermablend concealer is hands-down one of the best products I’ve ever added to my makeup bag. The coverage is incredible — it seriously hides dark circles, redness, blemishes, and any little imperfections like a dream. I was honestly shocked at how well it performs with just a small amount. What makes it even better is how lightweight and blendable it is. I use it all over my face as a base layer before foundation, and it evens everything out so well that I end up needing way less foundation than I used to. It layers beautifully without caking or settling into fine lines. The finish is super natural-looking, not heavy or mask-like at all. It just melts into the skin and gives you that smooth, flawless look without feeling like you're wearing a ton of makeup. I also love that it has skincare benefits — it doesn’t dry out my skin or cause breakouts, which is a big deal for me. It actually feels kind of soothing and comfortable, which is rare for high-coverage concealers. Yup - this is the one. With a history of products causing redness and tearing (allergy), I spent the last 2 months buying and trying a whole slew of such products like this (from the $70 ones to the $8 ones using techniques I learned from Hollywood to dermatologists) determined to find something to try to reduce the bags and whatnot from 65+ years living on this planet. By the time I tried this one, I had lost hope. Am here bothering to review this one to say, THIS ONE DOES THE JOB! Does it crease? Nowhere near all the rest. Does it look or act dry’ish et al? Nowhere near like all the rest. Does it make me tear up after an hour or so (like so many others)? Nowhere near all the rest How I used it: Used a dab of a nothing fancy not super expensive fragrance-free moisturizer right before putting it on, let it set for a few seconds, put a bit of the Dermablend on back of hand, then take nice super soft brush and tap it onto just the dark areas. Set it with a damp tiny sponge (the teardrop one for makeup), and THAT IS IT. So far, so good. I may have to change this review if the tears from an allergy to something in these products gets worse but so far, this one is the closest to 👌🏽 I’ve found to date.

I've lost count of how many high-end brands I've tried, but this one has truly earned its place in my makeup bag. What sets it apart? The importance of finding your exact skin tone match. Don't even think about going a shade lighter or darker – trust me, it makes all the difference. I've also stumbled upon a clever trick that takes this concealer to the next level: applying a thin layer of Aquaphor moisturizer under my eyes before concealer. It creates a silky-smooth canvas for the concealer to glide on, resulting in a flawless, creaseless finish that lasts all day long. This concealer is a total rockstar when it comes to covering up dark circles, acne, and blemishes. The full-coverage formula is nothing short of amazing, and I've been blown away by how effortlessly it blends into my skin. If I could give it more than five stars, I would – it's that good!
