I'm a loyal patron to Derma-E since the products are eco-friendly and cruelty-free, so I was looking forward to using this mask. Smelled great, was easy to put on, but it started to sting a LOT when I was only half-way done applying it. I have pretty sensitive skin, so this kind of reaction is typical for me. I received a sample of this face mask and fell in love with it! The charcoal deep cleans any buildup from the day while not stripping too much moisture from my skin. After exfoliating and rinsing, my skin feels soft and the blemishes appear to be smaller. I knew I had to buy the full size and it is worth the price. ... show more

    • Good product, not the best value for money
I was looking for something less expensive than my Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal mask. I saw this and thought I would give it a try because it was only $14.99 instead of $25.50 for the Clinique. I did not pay attention to the size difference at the time of my order so I was really disappointed when the derma e ended up being so small. I did the math and the Clinique is actually a better value because it comes in a 3.4 oz tube while the derma e comes in a 1.7 oz tube. If my math is right, that means the derma e is $8.81 cents per oz while the Clinique is $7.50 per oz. Plus you can wait til bonus time and get free goodies with Clinique. So the Clinique is a much better value to me. Especially since you need to use masks at least once a week so you go through them pretty fast. As far as the formula, the derma e mask did sting a little while the Clinique does not. The effect on my skin seems to be the same. ... show more

    • As someone with fungal acne this didn't break me out!
This product is actually amazing. After one use my skin is clearer and smoother. I've been fighting acne since I was a kid and learned about fungal acne after I became an esthetician. It's very hard to find products that don't trigger a breakout, and even rarer to find something that actually clears my skin. I recommend using a decent amount around the areas that are very congested since the mask dries quickly so you have a bit more time for the oils and dirt to be drawn out. I wish the tube was a bit bigger but that's my only complaint. ... show more

    • Very good physical exfoliating mask
This face mask dried fairly quickly and, once dried, I moistened my finger tips to dampen the mask and gently massaged my skin to exfoliate. I was pleased with how gentle the exfoliants were, as sometimes it can be too harsh on my fair skin. After exfoliating, the masks rinses off easily and I was pleased with how my skin appeared brighter the next morning. Also, it removed dead skin cells from my skin and my moisturizer absorbed my easily into my skin. Very pleased with this purchase, although I wish it came in a larger container for the price. A couple of things I was disappointed about. 1. The size! The tube of product is so much smaller than I expected it to be. I don’t know why but I just expected it to be bigger, especially when a small amount of product does not go a very long way. I’ve attached pictures of it next to a contact lens case and a travel sized deodorant for reference. 2. I would have second guessed purchasing if I would have looked at what the exfoliant was. Apricot seed is not good for your skin! I definitely won’t be rubbing it into my skin! I also have relatively sensitive skin, and when I put this mask on it kind of burned a little! I’m going to use it for a couple of weeks and see how my skin looks. I’ll update my review when I see how it is ... show more
