    • A great cleanser for normal skin
I have normal skin which is an important thing to keep in mind, I only usually get slightly oily in my t zone and eyelids. I don’t know how this fairs for sensitive, oily, or combination skin. I was looking for a cleanser to help with my skin due to hormonal breaking out caused by my IUD, I saw one reviewer was in the same boat as I was and liked it so I decided to give it a shot! I honestly really love this cleanser!! It doesn’t really have a smell, maybe just a very slight bubblegummy smell but it’s really nice. It is smooth going on your skin, a bit foamy which I enjoy just because I feel it reassured me it’s working (lol), but once it’s dry it’s clear and unnoticeable. After rinsing it off your skin it does feel moisturized and clean but once you dry with a towel it your skin feels a bit dried out. Due to this I like to follow with the use of Derma-E’s ‘Vitamin E 12,000 IU Cream’ the texture is incredibly nice and it dries so nicely on your face if you’re planning to put makeup on afterwards while still really hydrating your skin. My only turn off to the moisturizer is the scent which is a melon-cucumbery smell but it only lasts a minute or so. I would recommend this product to someone in the same situation as me or that has normal skin with occasional break outs. **5 MONTH UPDATE** I originally thought this could help with my hormonal breakouts/acne but with continuous use I’ve realized that with hormonal acne this isn’t strong enough to fight against it. The name itself says “gentle” which I believe isn’t enough for hormonal issues. I’m planning to remove my hormonal IUD to know whether or not that is causing the breakouts or I will go see a dermatologist so I can get some customized strong acne products. No doubt this is still a great product that makes your skin feel refreshed and clean but it won’t do the trick for hormonal breakouts/acne. I bought it for that purpose and for that reason I’m giving four stars. This is best suited for someone who gets occasional breakouts and has normal skin! ... show more

I bought this mostly for the 'hydrating' advertisement. I"ve used it many time now and I don't find it to be hydrating at all. Maybe I'm not using it correctly, but it doesn't seem any better than other facial washes I've used. I wish I could say my face felt hydrated after use, but that was not the case. Maybe my skin is just too dry for it to make a difference. ... show more

I love this Derma E cleanser. It is incredibly hydrating, easily removes all of my makeup, and my skin feels so soft and plump ! The scent is mild, and really lovely as well!

    • Very soothing for dry, itchy skin
I had tried everything for my rosacea (prescriptions, oatmeal. avocado, coconut oil, jojoba oil, emu oil, aloe, expensive department store stuff marketed for rosacea, even the dead sea face wash from the mall). Those things only gave me moments of relief (if any). My face was still very red, itchy, and breaking out. My husband laughed at me when I bought this and said that if it could cure rosacea (which it doesn't claim to), there would be billboards for it everywhere and everybody would know about it. However, after the first use, my face was less red and felt more calm and hydrated (but not sticky). After a few weeks, my face seemed "normal". It is not perfect and flawless, but I don't think anybody would notice my rosacea anymore. In the summertime I can go without make-up completely and my skin is fine, but in the winter (upstate NY), the redness comes back a bit and on ocassion I have some itching, which I can make stop immediately with the Hyaluronic day/night cream (before using this I was irritable all the time because my face was EXTREMELY itchy...even in the summer). I have to say though that a friend of mine was complimenting my complexion and I told her it was better because of this product, so she tried it too and said it did nothing for her rosacea. I'm starting to believe that rosacea needs to be treated differently for different people and that's why all the other things I had tried which supposedly worked so great for others didn't work so well for me. Anyhow, if you are one of the lucky ones affected by rosacea or dry skin I'd definitely recommend giving this a try. And if you already have good skin, I'm sure this would be great for you too. By the way, my skeptical husband has now instructed me to buy a ton of this stuff just in case it stops being sold :) ... show more
