  • Excellent
It reeeeally moisturizes. I’ve tried L’Oréal and I prefer this one. I like it bc it feels like it does a good job - what I mean is it’s thicker, a little bit creamier and I like that bc it actually feels like it sinks in. Now it’s not glue or putty, it’s just a healthy consistency to make you feel like your face is actually covered versus semi-resolved. There’s very light fragrance which is nice. My face beams now, hahaha, seriously ... show more

  • Good job, Derma-E!
VERY happy with this line of Derma-E products (the anti-wrinkle, Vitamin A line in the new red and white containers; have not tried the others). Used the older formulation of this Derma-E cream years ago and liked a good deal. At that time, to my knowledge, Derma-E was not making much other than this cream. Stopped using the cream--why, I can't recall--and in an effort to find skin care products that were really right for my temperamental, mature, delicate redhead's skin, and to stop using make up on a daily basis, I went through an expensive but fun phase of trying some top skin care products. Tried Tata Harper (sublime and highly effective, but ridiculously priced), Dr. Hauschka (nice--still use their redness-reducing rose cream--but uneven across products, and pricey), and then settled for a while on L'Occitane's "Divine" line. But when it was time to replace my long-lasting jar of Divine creme I realized I did not want to continue to pay what it costs and that, honestly, while a nice product, it effectiveness on my skin does not justify its cost. Then saw the new lines of Derma-E, and decided to try several Anti-Wrinkle products. Am very pleased with the four products have been using for several months--this cream, the night serum, an eye cream, and an exfoliating scrub--all in this line. Each applies easily, a little goes a long way, is lightly if at all fragranced, and reasonably priced. And effective, meaning that lines, discoloration, redness, and pores are reduced, while skin appears fresher and brighter due to the gentle exfoliating effects of Vitamin A. This moisturizer, in particular, is a workhorse: very little is needed to smooth and calm my skin, and my skin looks relaxed and less lined once applied and since I've been using it. One word of warning: this is a cream of moderate richness. In humid conditions I find myself using only a very light application. Now, in colder, drier conditions, I am applying a bit more. As said, my skin is aging and not as oily as when I was younger; this cream could be on the heavy side for anyone with an oily complexion. A quick word on sorting through the maze of skin care products aimed at women. Someone I read online, a skin care expert whose name I do not recall, recommends using products that are not only free of unwanted chemicals, but that contain substances that have been shown to be effective at addressing whatever skin care issue one has. Vitamin A (retinol), she wrote, has been shown to promote skin cell turnover, or exfoliation. Vitamin C, apparently, has been shown to strengthen collagen. And Vitamin E has been shown to possess anti-oxidant properties. While it can be nice to use a product that contains exotic-sounding ingredients from plants of faraway lands, nearly none of these products have been shown to actually do what manufacturers claim they do. Nicely, Derma-E has chosen to put A, C, and E in nearly all of its products, and I think one can see the results. And not break the bank while using them! ... show more

  • A light cream which does actually help
I discovered Derma E moisturizing renewal cream accidentally. I had received a smaple sized bottle of their salt scrub which I love, and went tookiong for more when my small jar was used up (though it did last me more than a month)! I first found it on their site, and they were sold out of the scrub. I got a few other products to try. This is my favorite of those I tried. It is a light cream but very moisturizing. After using it for about a week I have noticed a difference in the health and texture of my skin. I had been using a moisturizer (Algenist) which is 5-10 times as expensive. I love Algenist's night cream (solid serum) and will keep using that, but really like this for daytime use. As previously noted, it is a light cream which is very moisturizing. It does not have much of a scent. It is not sticky or greasy, It does not absorb (nothing does!) but sheers out well and does not leave a thick layer on your skin. It contains retinal which is one of a very few proven clinical ingredients. Many of their products use botanicals of established merit (chamomile, aloe, lavender, oat milk). I like all of the products of theirs I have tried, but this and the salt scrub are my favorites. When I discovered it was available on subscription at Amazon I added it to my order. I actually got this as part of a set, but like this better than their other "anti-aging" products. It is more pleasant to use than many others and I have seen results, which is why I subscribed before I am halfway through with my first jar. ... show more

  • Love it but won’t buy on Amazon again
Love this moisturizer - it’s hydrating and works well on my fine lines - but I won’t buy on Amazon again. Jar of product arrived just thrown in a shipping box. Had no tamper-proof packaging (no outer box, shrink wrap or tamper-proof stickers) and it had a large warehouse inventory barcode sticker on the lid that is impossible to remove. ... show more

  • Wrinkle treatment
I've been using this product along with Derma-E Vitamin C serum, for about a month now. So far, I haven't seen any improvement in minimizing wrinkles. I know I need to use the product longer which I will do. However, I'm afraid it is going to be like everything that I've tried, it doesn't work. I'm trying to be optomistic. ... show more
