  • Terrific purchase!
Fantastic product! The fit and finish is Identical to factory, if not nicer - on my silver 2009 Tacoma. I agree with some of the previous reviews, the black bezel makes these look pretty badass. I had no problem installing them after watching a couple youtube videos, and I chose not to remove the bumper, instead just reaching my arm through the mudguard. Removal and install took my dad and I about an hour (he just handed me tools). These headlights come very well packaged and mine were in pristine condition when they came to my door. The seller did tell me there was some sort of recall, so shipping was delayed a couple weeks, but overall worth the wait. I also did not need to re-aim these headlights, as they were close enough to where the stock ones hit, against my garage wall. The new headlights do come with new plugs (the part that actually hold the bulbs in the assembly), but I only used a couple of them, the stock ones fit fine and the seals on the old ones were in good shape and completely compatible with these. I did buy new yellow bulbs for my DRL's since the yellow paint was mostly flaked off and I already have the lights out. **Be careful not to use "Invisible Glass" to clean these, it left smudges on my brand new headlights, but nothing a Mr. Clean magic eraser couldn't fix! Also I have washed my truck 3 times since installing, and there has been zero condensation or leaking that I have seen. Great purchase, would definitely recommend to anyone that has those burnt yellow lenses on the daytime running lights :) ... show more

  • Look great and perform
They look great, fit well, and light pattern seemed decent. The stock units they replaced were totally trashed so I can’t totally compare the light pattern to OE units, but I put good bulbs in these and they seem to perform great. I did run some silicone around the outside as I read other reviews that said to do so. I don’t know if it’s needed or not. Couldn’t get silicone into one corner on each light, but it seemed sealed well there. There were some spots along the bottom that gave me concerns as far as being sealed. I will try to keep this updated as they age. They are brand new now, so this is the best they’ll get. ... show more

  • VERY NICE UPGRADE! Bring your own silicone.
These fit great and look spectacular compared to the originals (which were cloudy and had burned lenses). Night driving is SO much better now. Good light distribution pattern and very bright. I followed the advice from other reviewers and sealed the lenses with clear silicon before installing. Lots of rain and car-washes later and still no problems. Interesting note - the new lights came with a flyer from the manufacturer trying to explain that it was totally normal for headlights to accumulate water droplets and fog up with condensation. Even showed little drawings of water molecules happily bouncing around inside the lenses. That really convinced me to apply the silicone and I'm happy I did. You will want to check alignment of the lights after installing. My right one was aimed a bit low. Find a really flat area next to a vertical wall you can shine the headlights on at night. Chalk mark where the top of the light patterns fall when you are 1 foot away, then back up about 10 feet and check. They should be about 1/2 to 1 inch below chalk mark to get good lighting without blinding others. The side to side adjusters on the lamps had no significant affect on the pattern, but that was OK since they came well aligned along the horizontal. ... show more

  • awesome look but you MUST seal them
Direct fit on my '06 Toyota Tacoma, there is ONE major thing you need to do before you put these on and that is seal them with silicon or else you will get moisture in side and have all sorts of issues. Just get some clear water proof silicon and put it all around the lens where it meets the plastic ( if you look at the headlights you will see the gaps it has) and dont be shy with it either, when you install these you cant see the silicon at all. After that be sure to get a good bright headlight bulb and make sure to adjust these and you will be good to go. Cheap price and it gave my truck a nice look. I have had these on my truck for months with no issues, no water getting inside and no moisture. ... show more

  • Best quality OEM style lights
Have used a bunch of these on several Tacoma's over the years. The Depo brand is the best quality black housing OEM style that you can get in my opinion. I do always add a bead of silicone around the seal of the lens and housing though before install to make sure their are no condensation issues like Tacoma's are known for. But never had an issue when doing this. Also added vinyl eyelids for a more aggressive look ... show more

  • Short term relationship, seeking long term
Bought these last November (2016). Lenses are still clear with no signs of degradation yet. But, the passenger side started showing condensation about three weeks ago. I meticulously sealed these before installation as this is not my first time installing aftermarket headlamp assemblies. They were great until they weren't So I removed the headlight and found an actual puddle of water inside! I drained the unit, resealed everything again and let the unit sit in my dry room to be rid of moisture. Good to go. Until two days after the car wash. Another puddle!! Also, I noticed the bezel is detached from the rear of the assembly. Very disappointed. Don't have any idea where the water is coming in. Why can't these be built to last a few years at least? 7 months! That's it. I'm not buying aftermarket again. I'm biting the bullet and getting true OEM. Even other crappy aftermarket lights didn't have this problem - other problems, sure, but not this kind. And I read the BS condensation paperwork they sent with it. Edit; though I'd give a little advice to manufacturer instead of just complaining. I think if you spent a little more on your sealing processes to make a good seal on these, you could charge up $200 to $250 for them. I would buy them for that if they lasted 4 to 5 years. But seven months with the prep work I put into these is bad. ... show more
