Even though my stock radiator was working fine, I decided to replace it because we were driving half way across the country and it was approaching 20 years old. The radiator looked great and installed quite easily. Removing the front grill made it easier because it allows you to reach two of the mounting bolts. The only gripe is that the side brackets were about 1/4" off so I had to reuse the OE one. Not a big deal. Just wasted a few extra minute take it back out. I suggest just swapping the OE bracket before you even try. It's guaranteed to then fit. Time will tell how long it will last but so far so good.

Fit perfectly. Drop the grill and make the job easier on yourself. Came with good packaging. A few fins bent but not like the old one I took out. Worth the money and definitely recommend for anyone with a Tacoma as old as mine. Or older. Like other reviews it is longer but that just equals more cooling. Truck runs smoother and cooler for sure.

No problems installing but the radiator does hang down below the cross member. Could be good for engine cooling or bad for rock damage from roadway

Arrived early, slight fin damage but repairable, box had been opened. Handsome looking unit, ... expect good service life from it like it's replacement had given. One mention is upon installation, .... loosen all the side bar mounting fasteners so as to leave room for movement once you begin to install the original 4 mounting bolts. You do not want to twist these pressed together tank units, ... will cause early failure. If holes don't quite line up, better to route them a bit. Mine did align once I loosened everything first, ... then tighten in a crisscross pattern. Now the radiator sits nicely and not in any type of bind. Operation was excellent !

This review is for radiator part # 221-3138. Ordered it for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner 3.4L V6 A.T. 2WD. The correct radiator according to Denso is 221-3136. After reading the reviews on Amazon and some other sites there is apparently an error in the Denso catalog. I went ahead and ordered the 221-3138 and it fit almost perfect. The only issue I had was needing to reuse the side mounting brackets from the old radiator. With the new brackets the mounting holes were about 1/4" off. 4 bolts and about 2 minutes to swap the brackets. Both new and old radiator were the same size...about 26 3/4" tall overall, just the core itself is 22 1/2" tall and 26" wide. Quality looks fine, made in China, of course.

Amazon would not honor manufacturer's 12 month warranty. Contacted Denso and they said warranty claims had to go through the "authorized retailer" which I guess Amazon IS NOT. I purchased this Denso radiator thinking that it was an OEM quality replacement for my 2002 Tacoma. My factory radiator was still perfectly fine after 20 years. However, the plastic was looking aged, and I decided to replace before a possible failure occured. It was a mistake to replace with this radiator as it started leaking from the interface between the upper plastic tank and the aluminum core. I was better off with my 20 year old, brittle radiator. I would HIGHLY suggest at least purchasing this through a retailer that will honor the warranty!

Fits perfectly! I am glad I read other reviews showing this part number is the correct one for the 02 Tacoma. Denso has a mistake on another one that says it fits. Easy to install with only one person. Hardest part it getting your grill off without cracking it. It has great tabs that line up perfectly with holes on the support, so the screws start easily without having to line it up. Highly recommended! Donโt go with a slightly cheaper version.
