    • Placebo effect? Or is it real?
I think this product is giving me a better, more centered tone, but it's really hard to tell if that's just because I believe it's working as advertised or it objectively is. It could be a placebo effect. I've used it for a week now, and so far nobody else has noticed the difference in my sound, so maybe I'm the only one noticing it. I wish I could get some objective confirmation that the product is indeed improving my tone. Meanwhile, I'll continue to use it and I'll continue to believe that it's helping. ... show more

    • Did not fit at all
The picture shows the tone collar with grooves cut out for the tubes at the base of the valve. Mine arrived without any cut outs and the inside lip of the collar would not fit over the threads of the bottom of the valve casing. I have nine different trumpets, and this collar did not fit any of them.

Didn't fit my Jupiter JTR-600M so I gave it to one of my buddies, he says that using the collar has improved his range but just barely.
