I was a little worried about purchasing this freezer because of the multiple reviews about dent. I was even more concerned when the delivery was made by FedEx and I looked at the box that the freezer came in. It looked like the box was sitting around for over a year, and there was some damage to the box. However, upon opening the box there was absolutely no damage to the freezer. I waited four hours before I turned the freezer on. Because I take medication that has to be refrigerated. I had a wireless thermometer so I would always know what temperature my refrigerator was at. I put that wireless thermometer in the freezer and within one hour the freezer was down to 19 below, which is the maximum setting for the freezer. I was also very surprised of how much room you actually have in this freezer. Although I haven’t had it for long so far, it gets five stars for me. ... show more

Expect it to arrive with a dent. A dent not caused by shipping but rather a dented item from stock. Because the dent was not in a place where there was a shipping box damage. The freezer was damaged before it was shipped. But I kept it anyway because it didn't affect performance and it was going to be located in a place where appearance wasn't important. The thermostat is digital with 1 degree increments which is good but it is not accurate to the one degree. I measured temperatures with a commercial recording thermometer and found it to be 2-3 degrees off - not really a problem. The other good thing is that you lose power for a short time the digital thermostat does not lose its setting. Nice freezer if one wants to be able to use it as a refrigerator for thawing food at close to freezing temperatures. ... show more

Item arrived quickly and setup was simple. Item was unable to reach freezing temperatures and all of the frozen items thawed. I ended up returning the unit. Communication to facilitate the return with the seller went smoothly but be sure to save your box in case you need to ship it back.
