Starting to remove the chrome aesthetic for our basement bathroom. This turned out pretty well and I’m glad that they include a valve with it as my previous delta shower valve wasn’t the same fit. I only have two complaints. 1. Tub spout is plastic. 2. shower pressure is horrible. I was able to get around the shower pressure issue by removing the rubber filter ring that they put in the shower stem that decreases the flow.

I bought this because I was specifically looking for a reputable brand for my shower fixtures, and Delta was one of them. One thing I’ve learned during my renovation is that many pieces for shower fixtures are sold separately. While the trim may seem inexpensive at first, it’s easy to end up spending hundreds on various parts. This kit is appropriately priced and includes everything you need without the hidden costs. I had already purchased a matte black faucet that wasn’t Delta, so I wanted to find a shower fixture that matched perfectly. This trim kit was the ideal solution, allowing me to avoid buying a new faucet. The price was great compared to other options, and I appreciate that the valve was included in the shower head.

First the good, that it was good water pressure and settings. Not planning to replace at this time. However, when we ordered it came with a defective cartridge that meant that we couldn't properly turn off the water without turning off our main valve. Called customer support who offered to send out replacement part in 6-8 days, but did not offer replacement installation as stipulated in the warranty. Had to get the plumber who did the job to buy a replacement and get it installed (that was the cheaper option).

I switched over from a nickel delta faucet that I had for many years but was leaking quite a bit. I knew I needed to replace the valve inside but if I was going to do that I might as well change out the whole thing because our other one was starting to look rough. I was new at this so I did my research and found out if I changed from a delta 14 series to another 14 series I would only need to change out the valve. Had I used a different brand or different series I would have had to tear away tile to get to it. I watched a couple videos which gave me the confidence to try this on my on. It went pretty smoothly. The hardest part was getting the old handle off and the cartridge out. Both had calcified quite a bit. The new parts went on easily and my wife and I are very happy. No more constant dripping. Several people have said they wish it had more pressure. I agree with that. It’s not going to massage you while showering but it is adequate. I love the different settings and being able to use the wand when cleaning the shower. I would recommend it.

Upon opening the box I was a little shocked that the faucet is plastic. I am not sure if we will install. I under stand plastic may hold up better but after spending a small fortune to redo our bathroom, plastic seems a bit cheap to be putting in.
