Polished brass means brass color. Made of some plastic material. One star because it does not divert 100% either way about 20% contuniues to flow through outlet that is supposed to be off. Returned item.

the alsons flowdiverter is a big help when I go to shower room. I am not sure how this flowdiverter 345-520 adapters will help me to use my shower head and the hand held shower alternately. Just close or open the valve and your satisfaction for a perfect shower is being granted.

    • Water pressure issues with large or rain type shower heads
This unit works very well as a diverter for normal shower heads and doesn't leak. But we tried this with a new large shower head, bell-shaped, and it restricted the water flow quite a bit. The larger the shower head, the less concentrated the water flow (more holes, larger "field"), so a diverter with a 1/4" water access will slow it down even more. We used this unit on our smaller (30-year old) shower head and it worked beautifully. Also, we did remove the water restrictor from the new bell-shaped shower head, but the diverter still slowed it down. Best to install a separate hand shower with it's own water source if you really need one. ... show more

This is mislabeled. It isn't Delta and its not metal at all. Ill be returning this.

PLASTIC.. Not as advertised CAVEAT EMPTOR. Advertised as solid brass...received PLASTIC diverter.
