  • Can't beat what you get for the price.
This is a great product for the price. These are by no means a commercial grade hoop house but they are also about 1/4 of the price per sq ft compared to the commercial grade ones. Instructions are good and assembly is pretty easy even for one person. I ended up deviating from the instructions and made complete hoops and then connected to the bottom frame and lateral brackets and just kept working my way down. Structurally these have the equivalent of 1" thin wall EMT so there is not a lot of rigidity to them. Not an issue for people in no snow or low snow load areas but in areas where there is heavy snowfall IMO it would be prone to collapse (Even the commercial ones collapse occasionally in my area). I ended up running a header down the length of mine for additional snow load support and to limit shift during the wind. The width allows you to easily install 3-36" rows down the house with adequate room for walking or a wheelbarrow. The cover is of good quality with reinforced webbing and everything is double stitched. I realize at some point it will eventually need to be replaced it is plastic after all but for the most part I am very happy with the canopy. Cover is not so tight as to blow out the zippers and there is enough of a skirt around the base that you can easily pin the perimeter down with landscape fabric pins if one chooses to do so. The roll up doors and side windows offer more than enough ventilation and I have been able to easily adjust the air flow through the hoop house by opening and closing any number of windows to keep it at a humid 90 degrees. Installing/removing the canopy can easily be done with two individuals on a calm day. This will be the first winter for them but I am fairly certain that the greenhouse with my little additional support system will be able to handle it. ... show more

  • Old lady loves the extension of growing season.
This is my 3rd one I purchased. I bought one 3 years ago and loved it and this year I'm expanding my garden and purchased 2 more one at a time. I was concerned when I purchased my first because some reviews said the covers deteriorated and that they couldn't get replacements. But I decided to give it a try and, boy, am I glad. The first ones cover is starting to show some stiffness but still fully functional. I do remove the cover when it gets hot in the summer and use a shade cover for my veggies. The frames are so strong and durable as evidenced by the 80 lb shipping. This year's model that I ordered pleased me beyond words. They changed the 8 windows to 6 but they are larger. There are door openings on both ends. It is about a foot or more (didn't measure) higher or taller than before and they have added velcro tabs to attach the cover to the bottom of the frame. The skirt on the bottom is larger and when covered with earth, keeps the greenhouse firmly anchored. I was most impressed with this company's customer service when I contacted them to order a replacement cover. I was anticipating possible deterioration due to UV rays. They answered emails promptly and provided invoices that I could purchase a replacement cover at a most reasonable price. I now plan to purchase a couple of more covers so that I can use these for many years. BTW I'm 72 yrs old and can cover and uncover the frame by myself. I love, love this produce and the company that provides it. ... show more

  • Nice little greenhouse!
This is a nice little greenhouse. The instructions are basically just pictures which made it a bit challenging to complete. I went to YouTube and found a video where they were putting the greenhouse together in a warehouse. I was then able to easily put it together. You do need help from a second person. I would recommend you use the Gorilla white tape to put on the metal. This helps the plastic last a little longer. Especially, the parts that lay right on the top metal bars. I also, bought 2x4x16 and 2x4x8 treated wood and cut it to the greenhouse dimensions then made a ground frame. I placed the greenhouse on the frame and secured it with metal clamps I bought at the blue big box store. The clamps and anchors provided are basically for tents so I did not use them. Keep in mind the manufacturer clearly states this is only a temporary structure but if you do the hacks I describe it will last a bit longer. Also, if you protect the metal hoops you can continue to use again and just buy greenhouse plastic later on. I hope this helps. ... show more

  • Minor flaws, amazing price...
Okay, keeping it simple: Pros - Nice size, keeps deer out, great price, sturdy construction, 6 (count 'em 6)very easy to use (velcro) vent windows; 3 on each side (which you will absolutely need because this thing gets H-O-T!). The plastic cover extends to cover outside edge on the ground, and the fact is has doors on both ends is nice too Cons - The first time I went to open one of these windows the little tie that holds the other piece (think a tent door tie back) crumbled and stretched out. By crumbled I mean the rubber/coating/whatever it was just crumbled off leaving a VERY long string to tie your windows open with, no big deal, they still stay open. Another complaint is it took about a week of hot days for the plastic to be stretched enough to close the doors, we were worried the zipper was going to tear out, which it actually ended up doing a little bit on the bottom on one of the doors, again no biggie, it doesn't ruin anything. My last complaint would be the instructions! Oh my gosh, I read reviews but didn't realize. I'm pretty sure the person responsible for them doesn't speak english and has never even seen the greenhouse. It's confusing, but it ended up in one piece! All in all, if you're looking for a cheap seasonal greenhouse I suggest this one. It's nicely made for the price and the frame alone is worth it. I figure if the cover gets beat up/ruined/snow covered I could just buy some UV plastic and use that to cover the frame. I plan on moving it this fall to the garden plot for a hot house for my tomato plants. Awesome deal :) ... show more
