    • A seriously good ultrabook
I'm using this as my development machine. I thought my company supplied laptop (a Lennovo ThinkPad with 32gb RAM / I7) was a decent machine but to be honest this little XPS13 is a serious piece of kit. The keyboard is a lot smaller (obviously) than the 15 inch Lennovo which has the best keyboard i've used on a laptop, but the XPS keyboard when you need it is nice. I say when you need it because the typical setup will be dock with external monitor / keyboard / mouse. Running multiple editors (VS-Code) and browser tabs not an issue at all. The display when I am using it, mainly for random you-tubing etc. is outstanding. Other reviews stated the speakers were pretty average. I'd argue - previous Dell's and Lennovo's sound pretty poor compared to the speakers on the XPS. In reconditioned form the battery is also pretty decent - 5-6 hours solid work.     • Really Happy With My Purchase
First time I've not used a Mac for my daily device almost twenty years now, and I couldn't be happier. I decided to install Linux (latest Fedora) as a replacement for MacOS after years of wanting to make the switch full-time. I'm happy that it worked out as well as it did. Gave this a 2 stars in touch because you have to pay extra for it. In screen 1080p is fine for me and the small bezels are very nice but gave 3 stars because for others I think it might not be enough. Idk about gaming seems fine. Really good how it can be connected to external monitor. Had to get a USB Hub since it only has 2 USB-C ports but I understand because it’s so thin and potable. Massive gripe: EVERY TIME I BOOT IT UP I HAVE TO MANUALLY DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT AND WAIT A WHILE FOR WIFI TO START. I have it on auto connect to my functional WiFi network but it just doesn’t work. There are a lot of Windows bugs and I mean a lot of them but this is only Dell from my experience. Keyboard got stuck after 4 months and is functional but the keys that are stuck slow me down a lot. ... show more
