I purchased one of these for Ma for Christmas. I insisted that she open it early, due to the fact that her old one's screen was quite damaged. She set down her purse on the laptop too firmly and heavily damaged the top-left portion of the screen. I didn't want her to have to look at that terrible mess any longer. This was a considerable upgrade from her previous laptop. i5 quad core (Whiskey Lake) vs i5. dual core (Sky Lake), 32GB RAM vs. 16GB RAM, Windows 11 vs. Windows 10 and 1TB internal storage vs. 128GB internal storage. We both noticed that the Dell is significantly faster/more responsive and she approves of Windows 11 with which the HP was incompatible. She doesn't game, but it does everything she needs it to do. Screen quality — flawless. Straightforward and easy for her to use after I configured/set-up the operating system and installed drivers and software. I recommended battery optimization, which I performed (instructions included). Everything seems to function well. This has worked out well. Using it now. Had a couple of glitches with charging but it corrected somehow. It has been a great little laptop. I purchased this one Dec 2024. I hope it keeps going for a long time. It is a refurbished (renewed) and works like a new one. I am very pleased with it.

I ordered this refurbished PC about 5 month ago and it worked great until last week, when I began having a critical error message pop up during boot and intermittently during use. The message: Dell SupportAssist has detected a failing component on your system that requires immediate attention. Service tag 6T00N33, Error code 2000-0511, Validation code 79809. Fan - The (Processor Fan) fan failed to respond correctly. Following the QR code, it tells me that the device is outside of warranty and/or no longer supported by the manufacturer. I've only lightly used this product for less than 5 months, so for it to be failing critically at this point is completely unacceptable. Contacted seller for resolution, as it's outside of Amazon's refund or return policy. The most labor intensive software I use on it is Studio One for recording music. No gaming, no hard use, nothing that would defect the hardware in such a short period of time. Save yourself the money and frustration and look elsewhere. Update - seller replied with a boilerplate "sorry you didn't buy a protection plan or extended warranty" message. Avoid them; this is not a reasonable malfunction to occur after 5 months of owning a refurbished item and they hide behind the (for some reason now socially acceptable) policy of "buy reassurance that what you buy will actually work" instead of just selling a product worth buying. ... show more

I would've given it five because it looks and runs like new but had to give it four because the usb port on the left side is loose. I can make it work by shimming it a little but that's kind of disappointing in a way. Still a good laptop for the money.

Since I bought it used I was terrified it wouldn’t work. Needed insane amounts of updates made me think it needed new parts at first. Just needed all of its updates. Runs just fine, I worry about it overheating but if you keep it plugged in it’s totally fine. Quality is perfect not a single scratch despite being used, speed wasn’t great at FIRST but after warming up it’s quick! Very lightweight, and the battery life is decent for a laptop. Overall I have and will continue to recommend this to others. ((Do not call support until you’ve finished all updates! They wanted to take it, examine it, send me a bill to fix it, then send it back fixed a month or two later. All (mine) needed was updates and they’re going to try to charge you for it. I needed more ram than my old computer because I began using video editing programs and I can tell the boost in stability with this 16g. I wish, like with every computer I buy, that it had more USB slots. It has three, so expect to have a multiplier on your desk. I don't take the laptop away except for vacations, so I can't say for the battery power. I use two full screens with the Dell in the middle. It has zero memory card slots, so deal with that as well if you do photography. There is just not a computer out there that has everything on it I need at once. ... show more

HI, this product came with the PC App Store in its version of Windows 11. This app is malware and does not let you use your computer until you buy a version of "McAfee" or other "Security software" I don't know how this got inserted into a brand new version of Windows 11, but the vendor needs to verify its technicians, as they may be collecting valuable client data and stealing information like personal data, credit card numbers, etc. I hope they make it right.
