    • Dell Warranty Service Has Gone Downhill

This is the third similar Dell Laptop I've purchased over the past 10 years. As far as the product features are concerned, I have been reasonably satisfied with Dell. I never buy the top of the line, always just mid line performance. I thought this purchase experience would be positive similar to the previous 3 laptops, but after only 3 months this laptop needs to be sent back for service. This is because of an internal bad power connection that is intermittent on this device. I believe this is a weakness in the Dell design. I have had previous bad experiences with this same problem in the past, but it was always fixed under warranty or service contract. Now this problem is not covered under warranty at all. Never again will I consider Dell for any future purchase, if they won't stand behind their product any better than this. ... show more

This machine was purchased to replace a similar Dell. It is not touch screen capable. Moving the screen up and down can be difficult at times. The connection ports are either too small or too large. Therefore connecting USB devices are difficult to insert. The SD card slot does not allow the card to be seated securely. Not a good value for the price. ... show more

We got this computer for our daughter for her birthday. She really loves the computer, but she is a bit concerned with how hot the battery gets, even when it has been on sleep mode. We are hoping it will cool down over time, but are keeping a close eye on it to see if we need a new battery or some other service performed. ... show more
