With its ability to be used on a variety of objects, the Stealth Mount can mount any camera to capture shots you normally would not be able to get. Attach it to your surfboard, snowboard, motorcycle, Jet Ski, ATV or even the top of a helmet; the possibilities are endless!Utilizing a 3 in. industrial-grade suction cup, the Fat Gecko Stealth Mount creates a secure, damage-free attachment to any smooth, non-porous surface. Originally designed to carry sheets of commercial glass, the patented suction cup offers a grip that is virtually incomparable. It has been tested on glass, plastic, helmets, boats, surfboards, countertops, even the exterior of vehicles going over 150 mph. In addition, the suction cup has also been tested in various extreme temperatures in order to ensure its reliability.Capable of tilting back and forth at up to 140°, the Stealth Mount’s adjustable pivoting head allows you to angle and position your camera in numerous ways to accommodate any shooting situation. The adjusting knob securely locks the head into place, guaranteeing that your camera will stay in place, even throughout rapid, shaky movement. At only 3 in. wide and weighing less than ½ lb., the Stealth Mount’s compact size provides convenient, hassle- free use, while remaining unobtrusive. The mount is also ruggedly constructed with a highly durable plastic, able to endure any shooting environment, including ones where wind, g-force and water come into play. Use it while surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, skydiving, etc. No matter how often you use it or what conditions it is put through, the Stealth Mount will remain durable and sturdy for years of use.The built-in universal ¼”-20 tripod thread allows you to securely mount hundreds of different cameras, ranging from action cameras to camcorders, weighing up to 4 lbs. A rubber washer is included at the base of the tripod thread in order to prevent the bottom of your camera from being damaged, while ensuring a strong attachment when the lock ring has been tightened. The Fat Gecko Stealth Mount also comes with an additional cold shoe adapter, allowing you to mount any external flash unit weighing up to 4 lbs. • Best mount for in car Vlogs
Style: Fat Gecko Triple Pattern Name: Mount
Best mount I've used so far. I stick to my windshield for Vlogging in my car. Pricey but worth it, I had a cheaper mount before and was very shaky. YouTube Channel JD JoyrideTV

  • Only suctions to glass so doesn't work in a car!!! Too late to return. Waste of money!
Style: Fat Gecko Stealth Pattern Name: Mount
I have never posted a negative review, but the fact that I purchased this for a family member to use in their car and then they attempted to use it but it wouldn't stay mounted by suction really was frustrating. What was even more frustrating was the fact that I have it complete in its original package and I can't return it. This item is a total waste of money and there are better products that actually do work. If you want to suction it to a window that might be fine, but it's definitely not ideal. Usually I am able to return products that don't work, but the time it took to try it and get it back from the family member that I bought it for, didn't give me enough time to return it. Product might work in other situations, but not a vehicle. ... show more

  • Wow, this thing is worth the money!
Style: Fat Gecko Double Pattern Name: Mount
Ok, everyone wants the cheapest thing they can get right? Well, I know camera mounts, especially using it on vehicles that are going over bumps, taking 100+mph winds, etc needs to be good. I opted for this mount and I'm so glad I did. I've used a lot of mounts over the years and this is by far the most solid suction cup mount I've ever used. I love all the versatility. You can adjust the 2 suction cups angle for curved/slanted surface mounting, and then the dual joints let you play with the mounts arm in ways you never though possible. This is a SERIOUSLY stiff mount too. Solid metal/plastic construction does not feel cheap. I'm so glad I spent the extra cash for this mount, really worth it. ... show more

  • Very durable
Style: Fat Gecko Double Pattern Name: Mount
I bought this camera mount three years ago for use with my DSLR but to be honest I hardly ever used it until this year. I was always super paranoid about using it on the outside of a moving car with my DSLR, even after using it many times mounting it on the inside of a car (it never fell off or anything). Recently I mounted a GoPro onto the windshield of a Jeep and took it offroading. After 45 minutes or so of intense bumping and going over rough terrain, rocks and hills, this thing didn't budge! Make sure when you mount it the surface is clean and the suction cups aren't on top of any dirt, mud or other road junk. Also make sure it's not on top of any stickers or decals. I've found that the best way to mount it is to first loosen the knobs that control the angle for the suction cups, then once suctioned down, tighten those knobs. This thing is great and I don't regret getting one with three suction cups at all. I actually think the two suction cup model like this one gives you better flexibility and mounting options, especially when using a smaller/lighter camera (like a GoPro). After three years, this offroading test was the definitive test for me. I also left it on the windshield of the Jeep as we made our way back into town (make sure it's legal to mount a camera on the outside of a vehicle in your town/city/state). After this test I no longer have any worries of mounting this on the exterior of a moving vehicle with a small camera. Things to keep in mind: a GoPro in the waterproof case is nearly indestructible. Look up on YouTube the video of a skydiver accidentally dropping one out of a plane. It lands in a pig pen on a farm and is totally still functional (a pig actually tries to eat it - unsuccessfully, I might add). So even in a worst case scenario, the mount falls off the vehicle in some way, your GoPro will likely be fine. Even though I bought this originally to use with my DSLR I still have some reservations about mounting a DSLR on the exterior of a moving vehicle, simply due to the added weight. To be honest, even though this mount can support a DSLR, I think the use of an action cam like a GoPro is better anyway. I believe this simply because with a DSLR recording video you'll have no way of manually adjusting your camera settings; something you'll often need to do as the setting and lighting changes. With something like a GoPro the auto settings will adjust things accordingly (not perfectly, and I'm definitely a fan of shooting in all manual mode normally, but it's good enough). Of course this will depend on your specific needs, and I'm sure using one with a DSLR will probably turn out just fine. I would certainly buy this product again. And if I get additional GoPros then I definitely will so I can mount cameras all over the interior and exterior of a moving vehicle, instead of having to shoot things multiple times for each mounting position. ... show more

  • Great for a ton of uses, just make sure you have room.
Style: Fat Gecko Triple Pattern Name: Mount
Ok this thing is a hard review. As far as structure, I'd trust it. This is a tank. I purchased it for Auto Dash use (vlog style). My SUV doesn't have a very friendly dash for this, as it has a lot of curvature and not much clearance to the window (KIA Sorento). The kit is solid and is worth every penny. My problem with the system is the lack of accessories to accompany the initial purchase to complete the build. Treat this like a little mini rig. I purchased the one "addon" extension kit that is out there, but there was some jimmy rigging to get it right. I would love to be able to buy different length rods and ends individually... so in the end, it falls just a bit short for an uncommon reason... it's not quite expensive enough. lol ... show more

  • Defective bolt
Style: Fat Gecko Double Pattern Name: Mount
EDIT: Updated my review from 2 to 1 star because even the replacement had the exact same issue. Will not hold up to any serious DSLR configurations (mine was barely 5lbs). Bolt connecting the arm to the suction cup plate is loose and was unable to sustain the weight of anything, let alone any sort of bumpy roads. I replaced the item assuming it was just a defective product but nope, even the replacement had the same issue. You set everything up, then screw on your camera and watch as the arm slowly starts to slip and rotate because of the lose bolt. I tried to tighten the bolt but nothing worked. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I co-produce an off-roading series called In4Lo, on Amazon Prime. I'm always looking for new ways to convey the experience of off-roading to our viewers. We've mounted GoPros to the inside and outside of trucks for years, but to get TV-quality resolution I needed to utilize a more professional camera and the Fat Gecko facilitated this. In fact the Fat Gecko performed flawlessly, even though, (as the attached video shows), my unstabilized Canon 6d did not. As it turned out a highly-stabilized camera is essential for off-road filming. My next plan is to use my Fat Gecko to attach a Lumix G9 - which has five-axis stabilization. ... show more
