I’ve been a fan of this type of citrus for a long time and look forward to its season every year. The bagged package has slightly smaller Sumos than when I see them individually. These have been sized like navel oranges which is perfect for my kids to peel and eat.

I love the sumo mandarins and was happy to find them in a larger bag. However they were not as good as the singles, and while they were somewhat less expensive than the singles they were still much more than regular mandarins and not worth the premium. Get the individual fruit or a bag of the regular mandarins, this lacks the benefits of either. ... show more

These are my family's favorite oranges and we look forward each year to the few months they're here. They are super easy to peel and taste wonderful. We buy as many as we can whenever they are available. Other grocery stores don't have the same quality Sumo oranges as Whole Foods does if you can even find them elsewhere. Spectacular taste. Every year we look forward to sumo oranges from January until March or April. This year, the sumo oranges from the WF in Ashburn Virginia has old, hard skinned fruit. Many have something dark, mold possibly? Not all local stores have poor quality fruit. Something happened at WF Ashburn
