I listened to reviews for this mic and watched YouTube comparisons. It sounded better than the D3 Pro to me, so I bought it. The goal was to get a powered mic that I could use in a variety of situations. Unfortunately the included cables don’t cover TRS and didn’t work with my TRRS to TRS adapter. I was able to connect to my Note 20 by usbc to usbc which was nice, I could connect it to my iPhone with the lightning to 3.5 adapter and to my camera using the usbc to TRRS cable. I was unable to connect it to my ATOMOS Ninja V+ or my Tascam portacapture x8. I contemplated buying other adapters to get things to work but I think instead I’m just going to buy a different mic. The USBC port being the one and only option for connecting the mic is just too limiting. And because of the shock mount you can only insert the USBC cable in one direction. From what I tested the mic sounded good and the materials are top notch. But there are too many trade offs. Also there is no on/off override. If the auto on/off doesn’t trigger, the mic doesn’t appear to power on. ... show more

    • This mic will NOT work with GoPro Mic Adapter!!!
The mic is self-powered but does not have an ON / OFF switch. The mic automatically turns ON when the connected camera is turned ON. It works great with my Canon R5 but will not work on a GoPro Hero 9 using the GoPro Mic Adapter. Apparently, the GoPro Mic Adapter is not sending any signal through the Mic Adapter back to this Deity mic to tell the mic to turn ON. You must use either a powered mic with an ON / OFF switch or an unpowered mic. However, this mic will work if the Hero 9 (or other models) are inside a GoPro Media Mod. ... show more

The item supposed to come with 2 cables 1 USB c to USB c 1 USB c to 3.5mm jack Unfortunately it arrived with bothe cables USB c to 3.5mm jack

    • My only problem, it does not work as a standard microphone.
It does work with a Tascam Dr-07x with a trrs or trs adapter. Does need an on and off switch.
