MENU NAVIGATION Does not have the most intuitive interface, sometimes I found myself stuck expecting to find more options but they were elsewhere and I needed to backtrack and restart; a learning experience like any other. I didn't find the remote to be an improvement on this but it is easier to handle the zoom in/out with the remote than the onboard rocker switch. VIDEO QUALITY Without being too technical I can describe the quality as being on par with where smart phone cameras were ~5 years ago. 1080p @ 30 fps, minor noise in ideal light conditions with minor to moderate transitional banding occurring when lighting changes quickly. NIGHT VISION Testing in both total darkness and low light the video capture was actually pretty great. Clean black-to-white differential with reasonable falloff at range. ZOOM If you have experience with optical and digital zoom you know how digital is going to behave by comparison and the zoom on this camera is typical of such. Larger subjects at mid-range are brought clearly into frame but don't expect to have tiny things magnified. ... show more

This 1080P Video Camera comes with 2 battery packs, outlet plug, USB cable, a remote and cable to plug into a TV, a velcro protector pouch, and instructions. It does not come with a memory SD card. This video camera is easy to operate, great for beginners. The quality is that of the early 90s, not the best, but nostalgic. The zoom is laggy when zooming in or out, but it works. The sound the camera makes also has 90s quality. I like how the side strap on the camera is adjustable and make the camera easy to hold. I also like how the camera screen can flip over if you wanted to go "selfie" mode. Overall, for the price, the quality is about right. the quality is on par with a cheaper or midrange smart phone, but for significantly less at just $50. It's a nice way to introduce your younger ones to a lot of concepts like framing and shooting, and even editing footage they take, if they're ready for that, but they'll want something a bit better once they're older, so don't expect this to be a tool they take with them into even their highschool years. ... show more

This camera kit has everything minus a case and SD cards. It is not that picky about cards because it recognized everything I put in it, however, I ordered some high-speed cards just to be sure there are no issues when it's recording. I know it comes with a little velcro cover case thing, but it's garbage. I ordered a case for a Nintendo Switch and cut some foam to make a nice pocket for this camera and all the other accessories. I gave it to my kids so they have a little more functionality than the hand-me-down phones we've given them. For the price, this is an exceptional camera and kit and I can look over some cheap plastic and the bad english menus. ... show more

This video camera has great Night Vision capabilities. It would make a great beginner Ghost hunting video camera. The only thing it lacks is that the sound quality is not that great. I would use an external sound setup. This camera also does not include an external mic input, but the quality of Night Vision, filters, and added special effects it comes with makes up for what it lacks. It also includes two batteries and a camera case. I tested this camera in total darkness and I could see everything in the room perfectly. Even though it is stated that it is not made for professionals, it definitely has some impressive qualities. The daylight quality of the video is very good HD Quality and the build of the camera is sturdy. I always appreciate a camera with a digital full rotating screen that this one has. Just started to dive into this product, but out of the box it was easy to get up and running. Working through the settings was a fairly easy, plus the manual that comes with it, assists further if you get hung up! Had to purchase a SD card to give me longer recording times.     • Great starter video camera for kids
This feels like a Sony Handycam I had, only smaller. It is made for small hands. It also does not feel as solid as the Sony, but for $50 it does the job. I like that it comes with 2 batteries, you can have one charging with a portable power pack while using the other, always nice to have that backup battery. All you need is an SD card and you are ready to shoot. If you want to get your kids interested in videography, this is a great way to do it. More stable than a phone and you can play videos back on the TV or use this as a webcam. Very happy with this. ... show more

    • Pictures come out like a cheap camera
I took this camcorder on vacation and the pictures come out like an old model camera and please make sure you read the directions. Also the screen is so small so you can’t record too much. The brightness is so bright make. You do have to buy a SD card in order for it to work. I was able to to insert the card into my laptop and upload the pictures. ... show more
