This is our first RC boat and we’re really impressed so far. It’s fast and easy to use for both adults and kids. Some highlights: -Fast – Typically RC makers exaggerate their speed claims on Amazon and on the box. They claim 20mph for this boat and I would say that’s correct. It really moves. -Great handling and responsiveness – The boat reacts very quickly to throttle and steering inputs and it turns on a dime. It can turn so sharp that you’d think it would flip over at high speeds but it hasn’t so far because the rudder and rear fins are keeping it in the water. The manual lays out a flip over recovery maneuver which is nice to know. -East to operate – My 8 and 6 year old boys figured out how to use the remote very quickly. -Battery alert – We are into RC cars and if an RC battery dies suddenly you can just walk up to it and grab it, but with a boat I was worried about running out of power while the boat was far away from us in the water. Thankfully there’s a very visible blue blinking battery alert light that tells you when to return to shore before the battery dies. -Water-cooled engine – This is pretty cool. RC motors hate heat and a boat motor in particular has to work pretty hard pushing the propeller against water so I was worried about overheating, but this boat has water-cooling which sounds like something you’d only find in a much more expensive boat. A small tube sucks in water under the boat, and then that tube runs inside the boat and coils around the motor several times, then exits out the side of the boat, taking heat out with it. We ran it pretty hard and the motor wasn’t even warm. -Safety feature – There is a sensor on the bottom of the boat that can tell if the boat is in water. It will only run the boat if it’s in water, which prevents my kids from using the propeller in mid-air as a buzz-saw. Really good idea. -Two batteries – We get about 8-10 minutes per battery. -Water tight – The motor, ESC, and servo were bone dry after using because the lid fits very snuggly and securely with 4 latches to clamp it down, and there’s another lid over that. Overall, we really like this boat and are super impressed with the performance and quality, especially at this price range. I know from past experience that DEERC has great customer service so that’s a big plus, too.

What an amazing RC BOAT!! TO be honest, we were a little apprehensive about getting an RC boat, but this was such a dream and so much fun. The package was so inviting - looked great after opening it up. We received it quickly in the mail. We love to see the box looking like the item, with the great pictures and packing it definitely represents the item. The RC Boat itself is solid, SHARP LOOKING in RED, and looks right out of the box. Setting up was super quick and simple. No difficulties - it was easy to use right out of the box - we had it working in minutes! The controls were super simple to use for a first-time RC Boat user. The RC vehicle turns easily, speeds across the water, AND goes in reverse in case you need to move (which we had to do as first-time users). I had my daughter and her friends try it out too. They had a great time racing across the water - and it even did well with the slight waves from the wind. We were all able to easily navigate the lake. Very easy to learn to operate this as the controls were so simple we were driving the boat in no time! The battery held up for both of our lake adventures we were able to have A LOT OF FUN! It comes with a SECOND battery so you can keep the fun going and going. I would HIGHLY recommend the RC boat - great quality for the price, carefree, easy setup, a lot of fun, and so much better than other items I have purchased. Would definitely get another one from them!

It's fast, durable, and easy to control, making it perfect for both kids and adults. The boat is plenty fast for racing around a pool. It's also made of durable materials that can withstand bumps and knocks, so you don't have to worry about it breaking if it flips over. The boat is easy to control using the included remote control. The remote also has a number of features, such as a speed control, a steering lock, and a capsize recovery mode. However, the battery only last for around 10 - 15 minutes which feels pretty short when having a good time. It would have been better if there was an extra battery included. This RC boat was a lot of fun to try out. Setup was fairly simple with no assembly required other than inserting the battery, and it was nice to not have to deal with any screws on the boat to insert the battery. Although I still had to use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the remote control (and promptly lost the screw). There's no power switch on the boat, it senses it enters the water and powers on and is already paired with the remote. Forward acceleration is amazingly quick, rear power is so great it almost inundates the boat with water, but had no problem with water. The rudder turns with ease, and the controls are variable (unlike the RC cars which just have a "turn left" or "turn right" switch.) The posted video shows how sharp the boat can turn, we filmed this in our 12 foot diameter pool. The trim adjustments can be used to slow down the throttle range, though it compensates by idling the motor at different speeds, so it will not sit still when idle if trimmed. The one photo closeup of the remote shows an LCD display that shows the status of the controls, including a percent display of power. Unfortunately, steering control and throttle control both share the same percent indicator so it can be a bit confusing, but the remote seemed solid and smooth to use. All in all this is a great starter RC boat for young enthusiasts!

we own a lot of remote control toys, but nothing for water play. this speedboat was very easy to put together. took it to our nearby lake and tried it for a test run. it will not "pair" with the remote until it is in water. it goes really fast. maneuverability is excellent in water. my only thing where i can see people complain is the battery life being about 18 minutes each BUUUUUT, they do give another spare so be sure to charge BOTH so you can get a little more than half an hour. i don't think you really want to be racing the boat for more than 30 min anyway because my son got a kick out of for half hour. looks great, we got a lot of stares and it was packaged very nicely so gifting it to a kid for their bday is not a bad idea either. a stand is included so you can put the boat on top after you are done playing. tip: make sure you dont take it too far out from you in the lake. otherwise when the battery starts to get low, you will not hear the sound and you'll be far away to even reach the darn speedboat.

This is the worst product ever. Do not buy it. We took it out on the water, and the tread was working left and right but the propellers would not spin so it wouldn’t work at all. The instructions are not very logical and barely in English.

*Update* I reached out to the manufacturer. They supplied me with a new charging cord and battery. We have now used the boat a few times, able to recharge the battery no problem. I hope it continues to work. We used this boat twice. The initial experience was awesome. The boat was fast and easy to control, but the battery life was only about 10-20 minutes. I could live with that EXCEPT I cannot get the batteries to charge again at all. So, we used the boat a total of two times- once for each battery pack. We have tried all kinds of things. We charged with the white connection (the one the instructions suggest), we charged with the black connections (the boat connection, but maybe it would work!?), we charged for days at a time, we tried different plugs. Nothing. Zip. My son is super disappointed and so am I. Wish I could give this a 5 star review because our initial experience was awesome, but have been unable to re-create it.
