DEERC 9309E 1/16 All Terrain Fast RC Cars for Adults 40KPH,4WD Electric Off-Road Remote Control Monster Truck,2.4Ghz High Speed Car,Waterproof Monster Truck with 2 Batteries for Boys & Kids I ordered this on June 2nd, arrived on June 4th, via Amazon, left at our front gate, intact and undamaged. I immediately opened the box to check everything out and charge the batteries overnight. I was heavily invested into the RC crazy back in the 70’s and even now own three gas RC powered helicopters, one electric RC helicopter and one electric RC drone. After reading the description I realized that this Monster Truck was a “toy” and not a competitive electric RC Monster Truck, but thought it might be fun playing with. The fit and finish is nice, no sharp edges or burrs, vacuum formed removable body is typical plastic that will dent, crack or break if subjected to falls from high heights or if you crashed into something solid like a wall, but should be able to buy similar 1/16 RC bodies from a hobby shop or on line. Very nice military paint scheme. The chassis appears to be made out of some type of poly nylon material and aluminum, should hold up well under normal use. Comes with two (2) 1500 mAh batteries, states high capacity but does not advise type of battery, may not be lithium ion. Maximum speed is about 26 mile per hour, not bad but is not lightning fast. The remote control is made out of plastic, so don’t drop it or it will break. Suggest hooking up a lanyard if allowing a child to play with it. This is toy grade and not RC Hobbiest grade, especially the remote control, but it is a lot of fun. We live at the end of a dead end street, have a large cul de sac turn around area, so I first drove the RC truck on the street/pavement, was fine is not top heavy so did not rollover (but I was careful) then I drove it in our back yard, 2000+ square feet of manicured lawn, was fun since there was a small amount of slippage on the turns. Our front yard does have some small hills with lots of dirt but I declined to drive it there the first time because I didn’t want to have to clean it up before bringing it inside the house. There is a huge difference in acceleration between model RC cars/trucks with high performance brushless motors and this RC truck - but it was fun to drive and not worry about cracking up a fifteen hundred dollar RC car. The suggested MSRP is about what I see in the big box stories (for high end RC toys), is not cheap. Manufacture web site has some cool RC toys. I am giving this a 4 Star rating, minus 1 Star for lack of documentation and the web site does not offer replacement parts.

I love it! My buddy helped me unbox and test it so I could take pics and document. All the batteries were charged ahead of time, look for those in the upright sections. The charger is in the parts bag. Honestly DeeRC has been stepping their packaging game up and this is a definite winner! The Amazon box wasn't damaged but the DeeRC box had 2 good "something went into that" type of holes/dents but inside everything was perfect! It's not a speed demon being brushed on the 2S Lion batteries, but it's a fun little one. **Something to note, new battery connector with no balance lead so it won't work with most batteries if you're a DeeRC fanboy like myself. They do click and lock the connection though so that's a win. I have the old brushless version of this truck essentially, and the brushless 1:14th version (i love the bodies & the clip retaining rubber/silicone tie downs). This is just for putzing around, it would be great if I had a kid so I could run my brushless and this as they look IDENTICAL aside from scale. Cool truck! Doesn't do wheelies, maybe with some reverse then forward action as it does have metal gears and lower torque/speed so it should be fine. The beauty of these little guys is their durability! Less mass, less smash when you crash. With this things lower speed it's probably just about indestructible. It does all the fun low speed stuff, donuts and such. We didn't take it offroad, but the shocks were suprisingly soft just from asphalt fun. My GPS speedo was out of commission so no speed to report but I'll be honest if you were exciting waiting for the speed, this is not the truck for you. But if you want something to get a younger kid into the hobby and their relatives don't already have 1:10th scale stuff, this is what you're looking for! The only issues I've run into were from crashes at high speed, my low speed units are TANKS!
