Love this little truck! I believe in being honest so we'll start with the bad and why it's still 5 stars. So the bodies are awesome looking, but why the just straight cut outs? Maybe there was an interference issue, which brings me to the other body criticism. The rear has the body as a stopper for suspension travel, it handles pretty well but that doesn't seem right. It's not super fast, but it's fun! Ok so the good, WOW! It's a quick little one with 2 cool looking bodies. They remind me of old creature monster truck bodies. On sale it is totally worth it for any age old enough to comprehend driving it (to me, speed knob can be turned way down). It lands right side up on most things and does a good job of not rolling over. Speaking of rolling, the body clips have rubber connectors mounted to the body and I love it! Never loosing a clip on this one. The shocks have no fluid but work extremely well, until a jump and the rear shocks run into the body. It really doesn't do anything negative and kind of works as a limiter but the sound... SMACK. Effective though. I didn't get it to do a wheelie to utilize the wheelie bar but maybe on some surfaces? It's Li-ion so it's not gonna have a super high top speed with the small connectors which are essentially the balance leads. Again, effective though remember adults it's meant as a kids toy but me and my adult friends had fun with it! It can do larger gravel, sand, asphault of course, grass... it's got the torque. Maybe not fast in taller grass but not much this size would be. I didn't test longer range but within 100 feet zero issues with no lag quick steering inputs. It's a fun little beast, great to get a younger child into the hobby. It just looks cool! I was using it mid Arizona day so I didn't notice the lights until I went to turn it off but I bet mid day it would look pretty cool. It's a few green lights from either side of the chassis so I look forward to night drives. I'm a big fan, the batteries lasted a good while with many full speed runs. It's just not that high output so it lasts, effective though. For fun!

This 1/16 RC car from DeeRC is fun for kids. It features two body shells that look like a dinosaur head at the front. The bodies have tethered clips, which is a nice touch. It has lights in the front bumper and blue accent lights in the bottom of the chassis. It comes with two L-ion batteries with an SM-3P plug, something DeeRC likes to do. This unfortunately means that you likely can’t use other batteries you may have. A Deans plug would have been better for wider compatibility. The included charger is a USB type. This car has a brushed motor, so you won’t be breaking any land speed records, but it’s fast enough for a kid. The tires are hollow (no foam) and not glued. For the speed of this car, it’s fine. It has a wheelie bar, but you won’t need it because you will never pull a wheelie with the car. It has non-adjustable upper arms, turnbuckles, and steering links. But it does have an all-metal drivetrain, which is interesting. The motor has a plastic cover over it, presumably to keep kids from burning their fingers on a hot motor. It has friction shocks, which I don’t like, but for a kid’s RC that is not fast, they work alright. Overall, I think for the price, this is a decent RC car for a child. It would make a great gift.

This RC car is wild—in a good way. It’s got speed, power, and durability that surprised me, especially at this price point. My son and I have been driving it on gravel, dirt, grass, and even through puddles, and it’s handled everything like a champ. The body flexes instead of snapping, the tires grip well, and the two included batteries give us nearly 40 minutes of playtime between them. One thing to note, though: the remote control range is pretty limited. If the car gets too far ahead—maybe a hundred feet or so—you’ll start to lose signal unless you’re jogging behind it. Not a dealbreaker, but something to know going in. Still, the overall build is tough, and it can take some serious hits without falling apart. I’d definitely recommend this for any kid (or adult!) who loves zipping around outdoors.

This is a great deal for the price. This is marketed as a "boys rc for age 8-12" but this is a full on hobby grade build. Very similar to the 9300 platform and I'm certain that this metal powertrain can handle a brushless upgrade. Some things that stood out to me about this car were the super thick cvd shafts, all metal drivetrain, good quality flexible plastic, and how quite/smooth it sounds when running. Some of the cons about this rc are that the body needed to be trimmed down quite a bit around the wheelwells and that it's not the best at keeping a strait trim. It requires frequent adjusting but that's really about it. Can't fuss too much at this price point. It's good all around otherwise. It performs like a 4x4 1/18 380 brushed off road rc with friction shocks should. It's top speed was 17mph on my GPS.

I was so happy to find an RC Car at this price point. It was easy to set up and get ready to use. The batteries last a decent amount of time, plenty to get use out of it before attention moves elsewhere.

This RC car would make the perfect gift for teens it looks exactly as shown it has an extra car shell so that’s cool my son loves how fast it is and can be used on short grass and dirt roads it doesn’t get stuck plus the quality is great you do need batteries but they last pretty long
