So far so good. I bought this to tie down some new elm trees we planted. I tied them to the tree with the method shown in the video and used t-posts for the anchor. It's easy to work with, but very... silky, for lack of a better term. They keep coming loose because no matter what knot I use, they work themselves loose, not too bad, but enough to have to keep retying them every few weeks. ... show more

My arborist gave me a few yards of this stuff to hold up a leaning tree. That was about 10 years ago! It's still there, and hasn't made any difference to the tree! I tied a very loose loop around it, then fastened the other end to an eye bolt connected to the house, so as to help the tree remain straight - it keeps growing towards the sunniest part of the sky, and would otherwise be leaning completely over! I check to make sure the tree doesn't outgrow the loop, and the ArborTie is very smooth, so it doesn't damage the bark. Can't wait to use this stuff around the landscape! ... show more

Original review: This product may indeed be good. I am hoping that it is... however, when I ordered, what I received matched the picture (100' roll - which I had not noticed before) rather than the described 250'. That explains why the actual item (250') roll found elsewhere on Amazon is quite a bit more in cost ($38). This item should probably be described as being 100', not 250'! Updated: Amazon updated their product description and got me sorted out. I really like this product so far. It's very easy to use and is superior to using string/rope with tubing, etc. I like that its easy to see and matched with the arbor tie steel stakes was cheaper than some poorer quality wood/string staking kits available at my local lowes. To save on material, I'd recommend using a bowline knot to tie this to the tree. This leaves space and also allows for one long strand. If I could make one improvement/suggestion... It would be awesome to have something like this with integrated deer repellent (scent) if even possible. That would kill two birds with one stone! ... show more

Arbortie is perfect for staking trees that have been toppled over from "Sandy". It is very strong, won't cut into the bark of the tree, and easy enough to use. We got the idea to use this product from the tree service we hired to right 15 trees that uprooted from the storm. Arbortie is what the used tied to metal stakes in the ground. These trees were each 20 feet tall, very, very heavy and clumsy to handle. The job was made easier and time saving because it was perfect for the job.
