I bought what appears to be this exact same 12” Roman column border fence about 10 years ago. It held up extremely well and honestly probably would have lasted another 10+ years if I hadn’t damaged the protective coating over time with my weed whacker, which eventually caused rust in spots. Lesson learned: keep the weed whacker away from coated metal fencing. I’m not sure if my old fence was from this company, but this fencing appears identical in quality, thickness, sturdiness, and finish — which is a good thing because my original fence lasted for years outdoors. The biggest improvement is the installation method. My old fencing system was a nightmare. You had to perfectly line up each panel, insert tiny top and bottom hooks into tiny holes, and push the fence into the ground all at the same time. The problem was the fence couldn’t be fully seated while connecting new panels, but the already-connected panels would lift out of the ground as you worked. I installed 15 panels in a straight line years ago and it took hours. This new system is basically dummy-proof. You simply line up the panels, drop a connector pole down through the top and bottom loops, and move on to the next panel. Pro tip: only push the poles halfway into the ground until all panels are connected, then go back and drive them fully down. The fence almost self-levels as you finish installing it. Looks great, feels sturdy, easy to install, and based on my experience with nearly identical fencing, should last for many years.

The fence panels are much heavier and sturdier than I had anticipated! Previously purchased fence panels from other brands were lighter and flimsier. Installation was fairly easy, even in our rocky soil. I only wish they’d come up with a design where the spikes that join the panels were the same width with finials and they’d be absolutely perfect from an aesthetic standpoint. The fencing is still attractive and I am pleased with the quality and overall appearance.
