So long as you follow the instructions, you will not have to worry about the cracks on your creation. However, the problem occurs when you apply too thick of a layer. In order for things to dry correctly, always use LESS than what you think you may need for your creation. Using too much will create VISIBLE white streaks or globs and is the main cause of the cracks. Make sure to use thin (and I mean thin) coats. So thin in fact that after you're done applying the first layer, you can go back in because of how fast it dried. Besides that, this is a fantastic product and worth the money because it leaves a beautiful shine and feeling. Not sticky like mod podge is. Also, I used these on crayola air dry clay and it works perfectly. It sealed in my acrylic paints. Just make sure to sand/rough your clay surface, apply your paint, then apply several thin coats of this gloss. TLDR; use VERY thin coats of gloss with a flat brush (see no white). each layer SHOULD dry after 5-8ish mins. if not applied correctly, then there will be cracks. worth the money. works wonders on acrylic paint (i used liquitex and winsor and newton) and air dry clay (crayola). leaves a beautiful shine and no sticky feeling.

I have been using this product for more than two weeks now. In that time, I've had an opportunity to evaluate both the quality of the product and the overall usability. In creating this review I've considered both the type of material used in making the product as well as the overall fit and finish. I've also considered how well the product meets my needs and whether there are any shortcomings or particular advantages in using this product. For this particular product, the type of material used in the manufacture and creation of the product seems to be of very good quality. One must consider that for any product of this type there is a balance between the type of material used and the cost that is to be passed on to the consumer. I think for this product that balance has been met fairly well and I believe that the product will meet the expectations of most buyers. With regard to the fit and finish of this particular product, I believe it to be about average for the products of similar make or style. That is to say that it is not of poor or moderate craftsmanship/finish nor is it something that I would rate as outstanding. The quality of the piece is such that I feel it is a good value for the money. Finally, as with many products of this type, the value that a consumer sees is dependent on the expectation. When I ordered this product my expectations were moderate, especially because of the price. In an age where we demand low price but often want high quality, it is often best if we expect moderate to good quality instead. I did that with this product as was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality was at least good, if not just a tad bit better than good. For that reason, and those set out above, I'd make a recommendation to buy this product. NOTE: I received this product at a reduced cost in exchange for the promise to file an honest and unbiased review. To meet that obligation, I typically use the product for an extended period, no less than two weeks, and under the typical conditions that one might use for a product of this type.

This adds a beautiful shimmer to my painted rocks. I am not sure how well it holds up against the outside elements because I just bought it, but this product adds a magnificent gloss that makes my painted rocks look even better! Finishes clear. Easy to apply. Dries fast. I am going to apply 3 coats on each project. It’s also a decent price. So glad I found this varnish! Thank you!

Easy to use, dries clear but made the paint I was sealing smear. Yes, the paint had dried for a day. I used it on painted rocks that I usually seal with epoxy. Got lazy, used this and was disappointed. I only use it now if I'm in a rush to seal a rock but always use ModgePodge first!

I bought this to put a clear finish on my painted rocks and it works great. I decided to use it on a painted table I have outside that keeps sticking to the potted plants I have on it. It worked great, left a pretty shine on my table and no more sticking!
