I was hesitant but I’m glad I bought it. Other reviews mentioned how “rustic” it was and that isn’t really the look I’m going for. However, I needed a piece that would look good from the front and the back. This is identical on both sides. It is a bit rustic looking but I think it would go well with lots of different kinds of decor. It looks much better than the black rod iron candlebra I had before. I have fake led candles on it and I thin it looks nice. I just put what I had, I think a thicker candle would probably look better. If not heavy, but it certainly has enough weight to feel sturdy. I gave 4 stars because 2 of the plates are a bit crooked. It’s not really noticeable but I think it would be problematic if you planned to burn real candles. This candle holder looks absolutely gorgeous on my stone fireplace! The rustic look of it fits in beautifully with the fireplace. The only thing was I notice four triangle shaped holes in the bottom of it. Maybe there was a reason for them, I don't know but Amazon quickly resolved the problem for me. ... show more

This candelabra makes a great addition to our fireplace. It is only 3 inches deep so I was able to place it in front of our gas logs (which we never use) instead of removing them. The distressed look adds to its charm, though I can see why some would find it too rustic for a centerpiece. But for my purposes it's great. However, I deducted one star because one of the candle holders is a little off kilter. No bigee, but it makes the candelabra less than perfect. I can't wait to use it to add some much needed ambiance to our family room. ... show more

I bought these because I was looking for a candle centerpiece that wasn't white or brown and had character. This is definitely the candleholder I was looking for. It is rather large but we have a large table so it works. I used 3 inch candles. The place where the candles sit were a bit wonky but they were easy to straighten out so I'm not deducting stars for that. It is very sturdy and I'm in love with it. ... show more

I needed a centerpiece that wasn't flowers because I have cats that like to tear floral arrangements apart. This is such a great alternative, it is heavy and sturdy and well made. It doesn't feel cheap. It is also big enough for my dining room table. I really love it.

Found the perfect product to decorate my unused fireplace! I should have measured before purchasing but I was still able to find a great spot for this Even with the birch flame less candles I got to go with it!
