DearHouse Reed fences are inexpensive bamboo-like coverings for existing fences, walls, or screens. Reed fences are commonly used to cover chain link fences. This exclusively designed reed fence uses only clean polished reed woven with natural looking black nylon coated wire that matches perfectly with the color tone of the reed. Reed fences have an opacity of about 85 percent. It can be doubled making it totally opaque. Cedar posts and stringers can be used to install this fence. I had ordered these and then saw similar stuff at a big orange store in town that was cheaper. But when I picked it up in the store, the reeds broke very easily and they were held together by wire which created big gaps between each reed. Once this arrived I was relieved that the reeds were much stronger than the ones at the store and they are held together by string and so they are tightly aligned with mimimal gaps. This screen was a better value and, for our tastes, had a more appealing tone than what we saw available from the big DIY stores. We attached it to fencing to hide backyard junk. When stretched you can still see through it a bit but it does not look cheap.

Needs some type of rails or something for the top to not move around . I had to zip tie it to my dog fence that's smaller then the product. But if it was on the same size fence I'd give it 5 star. So the product is good .

I use it on my small patio, and it’s beautiful. But I use it mostly to coordinate colors on my patio, and to make wall higher. However, you will need at least 2 or 3 layers if you want some privacy. It’s completely see through.
