As a kid aged 12, I first saw the movie (RIP Robin Williams, you are greatly missed). I never knew it was adapted after a book. And I loved it! The book adds a lot of interesting depth and detail that I always questioned about parts of the movie. This book is wonderfully written. The characters are well written and developed throughout the novel. I highly recommend reading this book to anyone who has seen the movie and didn’t realize that the book existed. Dead Poets Society really stuck with me. It’s a beautifully written story about finding your voice, thinking for yourself, and chasing what truly matters. The way it captures the struggles and excitement of figuring out who you are felt so real and relatable. I kept thinking about it long after I finished—about courage, creativity, and what it means to really live fully. Here is my preteen's review: This book genuinely changed my perspective of so many things. The characters were represented wonderfully for their age and situations, and my heart was definitely broken by the end of the book, I'll be rereading this multiple times in the future. All of the characters felt so real, and genuine. They weren't ideas written by an author, they were people the author took to writing about. This is an excellent book, but if things like death or intimate touching are triggers for you, you should either be careful while reading or reconsider this book, as it left me crying and softly shaking at least twice. All in all, this is an incredibly well-written book that I recommend to poetry lovers, actors, writers, and basiclly everyone, as you'll definitely see parts of yourself represented in this book ... show more

I love this movie. When I found this ebook I thought it was a novel that the movie had been based on. Instead it pretty much is the movie in a short novel form. Still good, just not what I was hoping for.

One of my favorite books. I would advice everyone to purchase this. It makes you view perspectives differently. I was only a teen when my brother used to tell me about this and years later (Now in College) I see what the hype was all about !
