I was looking for device to chop my garlic. I do not like the garlic press because it is hard to clean, I need to apply strong force. I eliminated the garlic chopper machine because of clean up. This is compact and easy to clean. I chopped 3 garlic gloves within 30 seconds. It is not finely chopped but does the job for many dishes. I lost some juice, and some got stuck in the hole. Overall, I like it because it is easy to use and clean.

I love simple, sturdy and effective tools; this is a shining example in two of those categories. Doesn't get any simpler or more sturdy than this. Easy to clean and use. The dealbreaker for me is that the holes are immense compared to a standard garlic press. If they were maybe a quarter of the size, this would be perfect. As it is, it's essentially useless to me. If you like a very rough dice on your garlic though, this may be just the tool for you.

I had previously purchased one of these but it was made of plastic with a metal cutting plate. Unfortunately, the brute force required to use it broke it. So, when I found this one, which is all metal, I immediately ordered one. I am glad to report that this one is much more durable. It will be used in my kitchen for years to come. The silicone sleeve is a bonus. It works well but could have been better if made of heavier material.

The cleaning of the garlic press is easy. I found that it takes a lot of hand strength to get the garlic to press through. Would not be good if one had weak strength in hands to be able to push down hard enough for the garlic to break through even on a hard surface. I liked the why it crushed the garlic through the holes but it takes strength to get it through. Not good for older and frail individuals or arthritic hands.

LOVE this garlic press! I had a cheaper version prior to buying this one that had a metal interior and plastic exterior. It eventually broke and the metal press came detached from the plastic exterior from pressing down on the garlic. This garlic press is GREAT because it’s all one unit so nothing will de-datch. It also comes with a bonus garlic peeler. If you are looking at different ones, make sure to get one that is all one unit like this one if you want it to last! The holes on this press are larger and makes the garlic more chunky than the traditional hand held press which has much smaller holes.

Doesn’t mince or crush the garlic into as small of pieces as I thought it would. It seems to more like smash it, creating a lot of liquid, and then I still had to chop it finer with a knife. Disappointed. I do not recommend this and would search for a better product.
