After removing the 2 bolts the front upper and lower back one , dont forget to also remove the spacer bolt so theres 3 in total to take out took me a little over a hr to do as a novice ! so a good weekend easy project. my alternator high pitch squel is now gone, also charges my battery on my 2007 3.5L impala LT Flexfuel motor with Ac lasted 2yrs now its dead be careful ... show more

So far so good. It's working. It was a pain to install, but that wasn't a fault of the product it was a fault of GM! There's "only" three screws, but one of them is just a royal pain. Car still needed a jump after installing, but it's been working so far for a month.

This is not a DB electrical alternator. I got it in the mail and it was labeled j&n. Looks nothing like the one I ordered with the bronze looking spindle. it came with one that looks very cheaply made . But on the plus side my alternator went out completely and I had to put the j&n on. It seems to be doing a decent job its been on 3 days over 500 miles. ... show more

    • 3.5-3.9 gm v6 drop in and go replacement.
If you are looking for an alternator for the 3.5-3.9 v6 gm engine. This is definitely a drop in and go. I would highly recommend getting a higher amp modle. But this one is great for a stock/ week end replacement. I recommend also buying the pig tail that connector for the back of the alternator.
