The wrong alternator came in a box that was labeled as being the one matching the product description.I was initially pleased with the alternator as it looked exceptionally well-made. You can imagine my dismay once I wrenched off the defective alternator from my 2002 Toyota Echo, only to find that the part I was expecting to install DID NOT "Line-up" with my original part. After comparing the removed part with the photo of the item I ordered, it does indeed look like it should, with a "split" lower-bracket that attaches to the engine block. The one I received was a "solid" lower bracket, which could not be installed. Further inspection showed that the electrical connectors were incompatible. Due to the poor labeling of the part, I had to rush to a local parts store and purchase a higher-priced, although proper replacement alternator. If I were unable to temporarily afford the combined cost of this part and the new part, I would be stranded without a useable vehicle while awaiting a suitable replacement. I have a job that allows limited "work-from-home" days, and further days utilizing this benefit would look unfavorably on my record. I had faith that Amazon would send me the correct part. The label on the part's box matched the part ordered, so I don't fault Amazon. I am disappointed in whoever's task was labeling the product's box. ... show more
