I bought this alternator as part of my conversion from 6V to 12V on my Allis Chalmers CA tractor. It fit like it was made for it. The bracket set that I bought did not need to be trimmed to clear the steering linkage due to the small diameter of this unit. I used this alternator for a stator to alternator conversion on a Honda Gold Wing. The smaller size was great, due to my area to work with, and is working well for me. Checked (3) on install only because of it being a fabrication process in my situation.

I used this on a 1958 farmall cub loboy the offset ones and it bolted up to the original generator bracket fit under the hood used the original tightening arm and works perfectly it was so clean i loved it so much i sent for another one to have on hand for my next restore.

I bought this for a custom install on my 1972 Massey Ferguson tractor. It works great and is so tiny that it's perfect for this! It appears to be the same alternators that Kubota uses. Keep in mind, you will need to have a wire to the battery for it to be charging get and showing voltage.... don't ask how long it took me to remember that while mocking up the pulley sizes! ... show more

    • Won't charge
Hooked to positive on battery main lug, mount has a solid ground connection. Have it spinning clockwise at idle 2k rpm and full speed 2.8k rpm. No matter what level or draw is on the battery alternator does not seem to excite and charge. Highly disappointed as I had to have the mount custom made for my tractor and now have to order something else to use as I do not have the time to return in mail, wait for them to process and send another. Called the company that made it and got a circle jerk of forwards and then a dead end voice mail box with no one returning my call. Will update whenever I receive a 2nd one. ... show more

Alt works good, pulley is kind of large and needs a over size diameter belt. First one I got didn't work. They sent me out another one right away and works perfect.
