The media could not be loaded. Negative 5 stars is appropriate. I have a video, so I dont really need to say much. Put this in my dodge and this is what took place. The ripple test was erratic and it just got worse. Im sure it would have burst into flames if I kept going, it smelled like burnt electronics. I figured DB electrical would be good, but I was dead wrong. I never seen such garbage that fast. It only took about 3-5 minutes. I understand that sometimes things happen, But I have never seen this before. ... show more

    • Solid Output and solved problem with transmission shifts
Installed DB Electrical 400-52032 alternator on my 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with 5.9 L Cummins because of electrical noise giving intermittent problems causing transmission shifts in and out of overdrive when traveling in the 45 to 50 mph range, a well known problem with this vintage Ram. Years ago, I improved the grounding between the ECM and the frame and the batteries which took care of the problem almost completely, but issues returned recently. Putting in this new alternator with new brushes and slip rings has now fixed all issues. Note that this noise issue is not about ripple current, it is associated with high frequency noise from sparking, etc. Test graph of output included with the unit (nice). The truck is 23 years old and the original BOSCH 6004ML0004 alternator, made in Mexico, was still working fine, except for too much noise (does not take much to interfere with transmission overdrive shifts in the 45 to 50 mph range). From the output graph that came with the product, the Manufacturer of the alternator is Quiming. ... show more

    • Fixed my issue on my 2001 24v Cummins
My transmission would jump in and out of torque converter lockup after many nights of google research I found out the alternator can cause this issue. I purchased this due to the cheap price and I was not disappointed! Great quality and so far is working great! Super easy to install myself!
