Got these for my grandkids bunk beds. I was worried from other reviewers that I wouldn't be able to cut and splice the lights in order to run it along all sides of the beds and steps. I purchased a 4-pin 5050 connector set on Amazon and it worked perfectly! You have to be very careful when cutting as there is no line to cut along like some other strips show. I just did my best to cut down the center of the copper area, pried up the prongs on the connector very slightly, slid in the end (making sure it was in the correct orientation) and clipped it down. The strips have been up for a couple of weeks now and the adhesive strip is still working well. The remote works fine, with flashes or transitions or solid colors. The girls think the lights are "so beautiful". My only complaint about the lights is that they are a little too bright on full dim to use as night lights like I wanted. I'm trying to figure out a work-around for that issue and will update the review if I find a fix.

I bought these for my teenage daughter for her room. She had another set in the past but we were redoing her room and had to get replacements. I bought these based on the reviews but I'm not completely happy. I wish I would have gotten another brand. I do love how easy they were to install and the tape was very sticky but not too sticky so you could adjust it without peeling paint. Her other set had a remote and was able to connect to an app that allowed her endless options for colors and fading etc. These ones, however, do not have an app and the functionality and customization is far less sophisticated. But I think the most annoying thing is that the remote sensor is extremely finicky and often takes having to get right by the sensor for it to work. Good thing her.room isn't HUGE but for those who have a big space, this would definitely be incredibly frustrating and a reason to return. We'll likely stick w these until they stop working and replace with a better set

I bought these about two years ago, and had no problem with them until recently when one strip of the light shorted out. I wanted to order the same one for my room so I did. Unfortunately we were sent one that seemed to be a bad batch. Both sides were working at the beginning and one whole side completely died out after an hour and now the second side is shorting. I would probably say if purchasing this item to make sure to double check that each of them work for more than a few hours. Mine arrived already connected and attached and the chips seemed to be bent in a way youโd need to put pressure on it to make them work

My daughter loves these light, but they keep falling off her walls. She is even using small pieces of electrical tape to hold them up. I can understand them being made not too sticky so as to not ruin the walls, but could be a bit stronger. On the flip side I did use glossy paint so the walls would be wipeable, maybe itโs much better w a flat paint.
