After buying this Dawn Platinum, I'm asking myself why oh why did I buy the generic stuff from Walmart for so many years? This dish soap is just so much more effective. It smells great, and you only have to use a little to get the job done. A squirt of this and hot water cuts through grease instantly. Soaking pots and pans for a few minutes with Dawn loosens and removes burned on food which really cuts down on the scrubbing needed. I was also very impressed how Dawn works on my Tupperwares. I thought the plastic had just become cloudy over years of use. But after using Dawn the plastic is clear once again. Apparently the generic dish soap I had been using wasn't getting the job fully done. I never thought I'd write a review about dish soap, but the results were so surprising I thought I should share. I ONLY buy Dawn Platinum! I have used Dawn dish soap for many, many years, and when they came out with the Platinum version, one bottle and I was sold! It works so well! I can't believe how well it cleans. You really can put a bit of this in some water and soak a baked on dish for a few minutes and have it clean right up. It gets all of your dishes clean so quickly and easily. I don't have a dishwasher, so having an effective dish soap is super important to me. I also use it for a lot of cleaning purposes around the house. It cuts through grease and dirt like crazy. It cleans makeup brushes and sponges in a snap. It's really concentrated, so it goes a lot way. I can't say enough good about it. It's a good deal on Amazon, too. ... show more

Love this dish detergent and that says alot because I'm usually a loyal Gain customer. It was a great price for the 2 when I purchased it so I figured I'd try it. You only need a tiny bit of this dish soap because its stronger then regular so a little bit goes a long way. Its definitely, "platinum," lol. If the price stayed right I would consider using this more then my usual brand especially because it lasted ALOT longer ... show more

I'm a Dawn snob. Not because I refuse to try other brands. I have. Seriously. The problem all goes back to every brand dumping the phosphates from all soaps and detergents. When that happened, every company had to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to get stuff clean without the phosphates. I miss phosphates. Anyways - Dawn Platinum is the only one that has come close to those old detergents in capability. Their formula actually works. I've used it to help spot clean carpet (but yeah, you'll need some kind of water extractor afterwards) that professional carpet cleaning services couldn't remove. It's amazing on dishes and overall, doing dishes just goes a little faster. That's a big thing around here because we are a big family so there are a lot of dishes every day. Price! Amazon has the cheapest price by far. It's always about 15-20% cheaper than any local grocery store so it's worth stocking up. There are a total of 2 bottles in this pack. These pics are of paint - blue paint - and although it claims to be washable sort of, it's still on the carpet. I used this dawn, hot water, and a bissell water extractor. So, decide for yourself. I am actually very happy I don't have a huge blue stain on my homeschool room floor. ... show more
