  • Excellent customer service
The weather station was rather easy to set up. Just needed to follow the directions and prompts. I recently had an issue with my unit going offline. I called Davis and talked to a tech. She walked me through the correction while talking to me on the phone (very pleasant and helpful). Company has been very helpful and prompt....returns email answers to questions within a couple hours. ... show more

  • Excellent
Bought to replace Acurite unit. Easy to assemble. Had it working within 30 minutes. Actively providing data to Weather Underground and NOAA CWOP. Only downside, to be able to download your data, you have to pay for the Pro subscription. Would definitely recommend this unit. BUY FROM AMAZON, NOT DAVIS directly. Attempted to buy same exact unit from Davis directly, it cost $150 more, and even after 5 days, still had not shipped from Davis and their support had no idea why. Cancelled Davis order and bought from Amazon, cost less and received in 4 days! ... show more

  • First unit arrived defective, replacement is working.
I had the old version of this and it worked fantastic for nearly 20 years! I had high expectations for the new version only to be disappointed when the new display was defective. The new display had a "dead" zone so the touch screen was unusable. Product has been returned for a refund, and I re-ordered. I will update this review when the replacement arrives. --- Update after one week of use of the replacement: The sensor array is working as well as the old unit I had, seems to be identical to the one I purchased nearly two decades ago - and that is NOT a bad thing! I really like the new display console, though setting it up was a bit frustrating, and it had a few quirks and hangs during the process. Once it was setup however, it seems to be working really well - much easier to read than the old console, and access to historical data is a huge plus! Overall I am very pleased with the purchase, and if the first console was not defective and the software was a bit more mature I would have easily given it five stars. ... show more

  • Davis weather stations are great
Been using a Davis weather station for the past 30 years, but it finely quit working, so i replaced it with a Vantage Vue and I'm very happy with it. Was easy to set up and is working great so far like see if i can get other 30 years out of this one.

  • Unexpected glitches
I was expecting great things with Vantage Vue and the new WeatherLink console after a happy 13 year history with my old VVue also purchased from the US. There were two issues, however. The first was a fault with the console and the second is a software design feature that misaligns the console and sensor unit in certain countries. The first issue, discovered at initial setup, was that a couple of keys on the touchscreen keyboard were faulty. The Z key would not respond at all. The S key was sometimes non-responsive. Updating the firmware and factory resets did not fix this issue. The second issue was that syncing between the console and sensor unit was very unstable - more disconnected than connected. The Amazon help dialogue for returns has an option to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The response from Davis was brief "For overseas repairs, you would reach out to the dealer you purchased this from. For this reason, we do always recommend buying from your in country dealer." I then took Amazon's other option of returning the product to Amazon. The product was delivered to Amazon Returns Dept on 1 Nov but there has been no response as yet. After returning the product I was in contact with a local New Zealand repairer of Davis products. For the first issue, it seems that the WeatherLink consoles are difficult to repair, and replacement is usual. The likely cause of the second issue was a surprise. Apparently the WeatherLink console automatically adjusts its frequency range (and presumably the frequencies of each of the eight ID codes) to the geographical location entered during the startup configuration although only a few countries are affected this way. It my case, the console will have changed to the New Zealand frequency range (921-928) while the sensor unit remained fixed to the US frequency range (902-928). I would have to use a US location to make them compatible. Traditionally, the frequencies set at manufacture were fixed and would work anywhere in the world. After internet searches and consulting the Davis manual I couldn't find any explicit references to the auto-frequency feature of the WeatherLink console and the consequential problems this might cause. I'm sure the US retailer would not have supplied a US unit to New Zealand had they known about this special feature, nor would I have purchased it from that source. ... show more

  • Accurate unit ,this is a replacement for 4 year old that failed
Replaced 4 year old unit, very accurate newer console is an improvement. A little pricey but worth it if you follow weather.

  • Great Davis Product as always and excellent vendor
Superb price from the vendor and arrived ahead of when predicted. This is our second Davis system and, as to be expected, performs flawlessly. Highly recommended
