We’d been looking for a solid wood dresser that wasn’t going to blow our budget. I’m happy to say that this dresser has surpassed our expectations. It’s tall, wide, and beautiful. The assembly was also easy, though two people is definitely a must. This thing is heavy! The drawers don’t slam when you push like some cheaper drawers do. My wife and I bought the DaVinci Kalani crib and really liked the quality, so we got the 3 draw changer about two weeks later. We got both in cherry and the match of the two pieces is perfect. We watch our grandson 5 days a week (sometimes a few hours on the weekend) and having furniture at our house for the little one is a good decision because the pieces were relatively inexpensive for the quality of the product. The changer must be assembled but we were able to put it together (using a table or sawhorses is better than assembling it on the floor). Also, make sure you attach the drawer runners properly in the right orientation--at first we messed up but figured it out and impressed us that reading the direction is great but also look very carefully at the diagrams. You can visit the DaVinci website and download the exact instructional guide they send in the package to see if you want to tackle this project before you buy it. Both the crib and dresser are very sturdy--real wood is used, not press board.

Very happy with our purchase. Assembly was not bad. Took me and my wife about 2.5 hours to do. (Including unboxing). The drawers were a bit tricky and could be hard to do for one person. Overall the chestnut finish is nice and matches our babyletto sprout crib nicely. There are a few sides that have small splinters. But overall it seems sturdy and well built. The changing table on top looks great and completes the look.

I've been searching for a small dresser and had originally planned to purchase a vintage piece. When the Davinci Kalani landed on my search page, I decided to go for it. The style and size were absolutely perfect for my needs and are exactly as advertised. For that reason I give it five stars. BUT... HARDWARE The hardware is well packaged and labeled. The hardest part was getting the parts out of the package. Keep a pair of scissors nearby to cut out only the parts you need when you need it. At the start of the instruction manual, they make it sound like you only need an Allen wrench (included). But for the drawer assembly and hardware, you need to bring your own Phillips head screwdriver. I read some other reviews about using an power screw driver and happily charged mine up that morning before the box arrived. AMAZON DELIVERY My first pro is a shout out to the Amazon delivery team. They were wonderful. FIRST IMPRESSION The box was heavy so I opened it down stairs and carried it piece by piece up to the bedroom to assemble. I took my time, went slowly and followed the instructions. When you open the box, you can smell the wood, which is nice. It's relatively easy to assemble and you don't need two people, but a second hand could be helpful when attaching the left side to the right and holding together the drawers. PROS. Each part is clearly labeled. Take your time and match the label to the instructions before securing the hardware. CONS. My only con, and this is why I have rated this four stars instead of five, is the frustrating drawer assembly. This should have been the easiest part, but it quickly became an exercise in frustration and injury. It started out okay. I attached the two roller sides to the front panel. Each piece is labeled, so follow the instructions. Then I slid the bottom piece in the grooves. It's smooth so your clothes won't snag, which is what I wanted. I purchased this to hold some new sweaters. This is where the problems begin: At this point, you slip in the bottom bar into place. It's held in with two small dowels on the top and bottom. They fit in place but not securely - they wobble. So when you have to attach Part M to the wobbly base, the parts shift, making it difficult to align the screws. PLUS, the predrilled holes you're aiming for are small and not easy to align. BEWARE OF PART M. Here's your splinter warning. Part M (M for Mishap) is the back of the drawer. It's a wooden board that you have to attach to the side and base with screws. But the edges were surprisingly rough and I got a terrible splinter. Not cool. So, when I turned the screws that attach Part M to the rest of the drawer, even though I took my time and worked carefully, the parts shifted and the screw cut into Part M, creating a small crack in one of the boards. This is VERY frustrating because I'm afraid the rough edge will damage my garments. Overall, it's a pretty dresser. But I'm annoyed about the drawer issue, the crack in Part M, and the splinter, which is still lodged under my skin as I type this review. SIDE NOTE: Although this is marketed as a baby dresser, I purchased this for an adult. There is a wall strap included, which I did not install.

Love this dresser for the nursery. This was very easy to put together, although quite a few steps. The quality seems very good and sturdy. I’d think this would last for years to come. It’s also the perfect height for adding a changing pad which makes it even more functional in a nursery.
