I got this as an upgrade storage for my claw 7 Ai+ a2vm. It never ran hotter past 54c, that was the highest recorded on HWinfo. The res and write speed are decent as I felt the system responsive enough but I didn’t test them out to get solid numbers, however, I ran the 3DMark storage benchmark and that took about 28 minutes from start till end. The benchmark loops 3 sets of 7 tests back to back of loading, recording, installing, save and move games. I have attached the benchmark results from my claw 7 Ai+ a2vm here. I also would assume it will keep its cool temperatures if not better in the claw 8 Ai+ a2vm since the cooling is much better on that one, which is a possibility. The only thing I’m worried about with this ssd nvme is that I don’t know the brand, or ever have heard about it. I haven’t no clue how they will handle any RMAs or the reliability of this drive on the long run with normal use. I hope that I don’t have to face any of these issues, and if I do the manufacturing company honors their warranty. ... show more

This is a quite diminutive SSD, being a 2230 size, but that doesn't translate into a lack of capacity - it's got as much storage space as any M.2 SSD I've dealt with. In my testing using an external case, I got speeds of up to 831 MB/s, which, while much less than advertised, is close enough to the 10 Gbps theoretical maximum of the case I was using to feel comfortable blaming the case for the slowdown. There is no reason to think I wouldn't get much better speeds when installed properly directly on the motherboard. A temperature readout on the case I was using got to 43ºC during a sustained write test. One thing to note: the motherboard in my server supports 2280 or 22110 sized M.2 drives, so this unit is actually *too small* to fit in my server (at least without some sort of adaptor?). Just something to be aware of. Overall, if you are looking for fast, large storage in a small space - and your device can handle the smallest sized M.2 drives - this unit is well worth considering. ... show more

I wish I had the opportunity to actually test and see how it preformed but I purchased this in a pinch when the orginal ssd I bought was not delivered. From what little I saw it worked right away as a Toughbook hard drive replacement. Sold my toughbook online immediately with it installed so my accomplished goal gets it 5 stars ... show more
