  • These actually work and help keep my splitting & peeling nails intact! These actually work and help keep my splitting & peeling nails intact!
Color: Ghostly Touch
Ok, so this manicure is two weeks old, and I don’t care since I’m going camping, but these look GREAT when I first put them on and usually for at least a week to two weeks. Even like this they look so much better than than they did before I started using them. I’ve even gotten compliments when I’ve used the sparkly ones, and I don’t think I’ve gotten complimented on my nails since I was doing the acrylic thing years ago! My nails were so short when I started using these, and I bought my first pack (the ones where you don’t need the light) on a whim at Target a month or two ago because I was just so sick of the pain of my nails splitting past the quick and peeling off. I wish I’d taken pictures then, but I didn’t really believe these would work! I can’t believe how long they are now! If you have nails that constantly split or peel, this might help you like it has helped me. I’ve always had splits in the nails of my middle finger and peeling on my pointer finger, and they split all the way to the quick and are very painful. My sister and grandfather have the same problem, so I think it’s just a family trait. I’ve FINALLY figured out a way to get them to grow past my fingertips without going to the salon every week, but it’s a process! (Though it’s much cheaper and convenient than going to the salon.) ***These don’t look perfect, but that’s because this isn’t a fresh manicure! It’s been two weeks! Here’s what I do: 1) Clean off old polish and let my nails dry for a bit. No oil afterward! Oil will actually help remove the Dashing Diva stickers you’re going to put on, so they need to be clean and dry to get them to stick. 2) Put on Dashing Diva nail stickers. (I don’t use the kind you need to cure under a light. Make sure to know which ones you’re buying.) These are about $8 at Target or Walmart, or you can get them on Amazon, but the price is usually higher. I bought these here because they’re so cute! I also got some on their website. Start with one pack first to see if you actually like them though. Tip: use a scissors to clip them down to the size you want before you put them on. It doesn’t have to be a perfect curve because you fold it over and file it. Cut it just about 5 millimeters longer than your nail, be sure to put on ONE at a time, make sure that it’s aligned properly, and reposition if it’s not on correctly. Bend it over the tip over your nail, and then use the enclosed file that comes with the stickers to file down the tip. Keep any extra stickers for future use. You can paint color over them, so you can mix and match colors of the leftover nails if necessary or just mix them up for fun. The Dashing Diva nail color doesn’t matter if you’re going to use a couple of coats of nail polish over them. I usually use more neutral or pink colors for this reason, but sometimes I have fun with the glittery ones! 3) Use Rocket Nail Fuel (just the strengthener) to fill in around the edges and cuticle and the very tip of the nail where you’ve filed. This is especially important if you’re putting your hands in water a lot. You don’t want those edges coming up. You can cover the entire nail if it you want, but I usually don’t the first few days. 4) I let this dry completely and then add a color on top if I get sick of the Dashing Diva color, if they start looking a little rough, or if I want all one color. So far I’ve used Rocket Nail colors and Modelones Nail Strengthener Milky White Nail Natural Concealer for different colors, but you might be able to use others. I just haven’t tried any yet. 5) Every couple of days I put the Rocket Nail Fuel (blue/clear stuff) around the edges again. Sometimes I just re-coat the entire nail with it. I’m using a bottle that’s a couple of years old! Still works! 6) In the pictures here, I wanted to change the pink color I had to a more neutral color, so I used the Rocket Nail color, then coated it with the clear/blue as a top coat. I’m going on two weeks with this stuff! It doesn’t look nearly as good right now because my clear/blue Rocket Nail stuff is a couple of years old and starting to get thick and empty, so I just ordered another bottle. This will get me through a busy weekend though. If I were going to something fancy this weekend, I would have removed everything and started over, but since I didn’t have time to change it this week and I’ll be camping, this will be fine. I love that I can use other polishes over the Dashing Diva stickers and then just coat it or do the edges with Rocket Nail Fuel. Usually I just remove them with cuticle oil when I’m changing them out, but with this many layers of various stuff, I’ll probably need acetone remover for the polish and then oil to get the stickers off. I’m just glad they’re lasting as long as they do when I don’t have time to change them out! I haven’t had nails like this since I was going to the salon weekly and getting acrylics filled in all of the time years ago. I peel gel manicures off, so those didn’t work for me, and dipping just destroyed my nails. I don’t have time to be touching up color every day with regular polish either, and this is really working for me. NOTE: If I have my hands in water for extended periods of time like swimming or immersing my hands while washing lots of dishes in hot water, then I make sure to remove the nails that night or the next morning, especially if the edges aren’t sealed with Rocket Fuel. I don’t want germs or moisture getting under everything and retaining bacteria. I also make sure to coat the edges (especially the front) if I’m gardening or painting so that dirt and paint can be cleaned out from under my nails with a nail brush and soap if necessary. I’m not very good about remembering to use garden gloves. :) It’s been working so well, and I don’t have painful splits on my nails anymore! The longer nails help keep my short, arthritic, old fingers from looking so stumpy too! :) The Dashing Diva stickers do take some time to put on, but I’ve gotten the hang of it The first time was kind of rough because I put them all on at one time without trimming them, and they kept sticking to each other! I looked like Edward Scissorhands! Luckily my daughter was there to help me trim them. :) I really don’t think I could use the stickers for very long without using the Rocket Fuel to seal the edges and tips, but these stickers add that extra strength I need to keep my middle and first fingernails from splitting and peeling. The designs are so fun too! I love that they have both neutrals and sparkly ones, and the Halloween ones are so cute! I’m amazed that my nails are so long without stepping foot in a salon and that these are pretty low maintenance (which I really need!) I’ve tried so many nail strengthening polishes, and they’ve never worked alone. I’m so happy with these! I hope this helps someone who has problem nails like me. Good luck, and have fun! ... show more

  • Great nail stickers!
Color: Pumpkin Fright
I love these nail strips!! I used them on top of my Dashing Diva UV nails and received many compliments. They really looked festive and professional. I added a top coat and the stickers lasted for over a week. Super easy to use and will buy again for next year!

  • Good - first timer
Color: Boo Crew
Great. First time using them. I ordered more in different styles. My hands are small, so finding the correct sizes was a bit of a challenge. It was harder to file off the ends than I thought it would be. Hard to get a clean edge.

  • Pricing is wack.
Color: Twisted Nightmare
Great nails, but thought the price was kind of high at $20 when I purchased them. Then not even right after I purchase them they went down $5-6. Wouldn't let me cancel what so ever. So don't fall for the "discounted" price, because it literally said $17 but discounted to $14 or $15, which was a lie because it was $20. ... show more
