The smaller zippered bag fits my phone, small wallet, lip color, prescription glasses, and a few other small things, although, honestly, with my glasses in it I can't close it. Pick your battles. The larger tote holds my 2 drink bottles (and will zip above them), my sunglasses in their case, my lunch snacks, the smaller zippered bag, and has room in either of the 2 pockets for the tiny things I don't want to lose.
